I know its not just for 1j/2j swaps, but come on man. The mk3 is a heavy beast and its just is a waste of time putting in a 4 cyl engine in it. I guess if you do it and have some info or pics that can prove its a worthy swap, than thats cool, but it has been asked about many times and has never...
no, I think he is asking if their is a gasket between the manifold and the turbo. I am pretty sure their is no gasket where the manifold meets the turbo. At least I am not running a gasket between the stock manifold and my Driftmotion ct26 manifold adaptor, and I have no exhaust leaks. I think...
I have had a lot of motors apart, and I have never seen cam caps with scoring that bad:aigo: Did that motor make noise? Have you checked your rod and main bearings?
I also have the H&R springs, but I haven't had time to throw it on the alignment rack yet. I am also having a camber problem and wearing the inside of my tires. I am curious if their is enough adjustment in the stock suspension to get the proper camber with the H&R springs?
Just buy the Koyo radiator because it kicks ass. Then you will have to have a hydrofan ECU and have a jza70 supra harness. You will also need the temp sensor, hydrofan water pump with solenoid, fan assembly with shroud, and all the lines including cooler line and fluid resevoir.
why don't you just bypass your boost controller and see if the car breaks up above 10psi. The car will run a tad bit more than 10psi without the boost contoller so if it runs fine without it then you found your problem.
Like Aaron said, the hydro fan is the shit!! I am using the Driftmotion braided steel high pressure line and I have no leaks whatsoever. Not a messy setup at all:icon_bigg Not to mention, combine that with the Koyo radiator and that is a killer cooling setup!!
I have the compressor on my 1j but I am not running AC. You can have my compressor if you want it. I work in Santa Clarita right by you! Let me know if you want it.
be carefull, because with all the ECU problems you have had, their is probably a small problem with you harness wiring. Sometimes you can look at the bad ecu and trace down where it burnt down to and follow it to the pin of the ECU. We have done this at Nissan before and it worked great, for...
