I'd say to try putting some (= a small amount) white lithium grease or some other grease on the key and then inserting it into the lock and turning it a couple times....but I don't know if the grease would even reach the tumblers...or if it would mess up the electronics. hmmmmm.....
I had a bic ddp stock catback and more than 3 washers on the wg and it ran fine. currently no shims mbc @ 12 on a stock catback and only hit fuel cut at the top of 2nd SOMETIMES
the exhaust manifold is held on by studs sticking out of the head with nuts holding the manifold on.
check your exhaust nuts/bolts/clamps/gaskets whatever.
and check your valve shim clearances according to the tsrm like ^^^^^he said. good luck
I have the motorola ?800 or some crap like that. they're actually great for driving (stick shift) and I usually wear mine around work all the time (motorla q phone is easier to leave on the desk). It's just simpler to reach up and push one button. Really comfy too...hardly ever remember it's...
he put down 290hp 290tq on an all wheel drive dyno to the wheels. I put down 270hp 292 tq in the supra with an mbc @ 10psi stock catback 120k mi cat. Took the catback off (ran open dp), turned the boost up to 13psi and slapped some drag radials on and bested at 14.02. that would make my hp and...
figured I'd post this up. http://www.ashtabularacing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2572
yes you have to be able to drive and AWD doesn't do everything for you. Still have to slip the clutch at the line. But damn it does help. 1.7 60's on the factory rubber
that's pretty funny. I made half an exhaust for my winter beater (91 cavalier) out of that roll of flex crap. $50???? I bought a 6' long piece 2.5" inner diameter for like...$11?
fozbo is correct if you think about it...the tranny doesn't flex seperate from the motor, and the stock dp is bolted to the turbo and the tranny with the flex section in the middle....there shouldn't be any flex between the motor and transmission. I don't have one, no problems getting the dp on...
HAHA...this is hilarious. I've done they old "hey, can you help me real quick" at the gas station before. I used to shove a rag under the lever and cary a screw driver in the center console. I eventually got it to work (shaved a little material off the little black nub that goes in and out)...
You should try putting something up on ohiosupras.org and see if there's any local intrest. I haven't been there in about a week so disregard this if you've already posted there.
watch the news. 10 chairs and 100 people running to get them. people went to the hospital. Somebody was already shot over one. Are you friggin serious? Gimmee dat game bizzatch fo' I bust a cap in yo ase. bang bang. I want one, but not that bad. I'll prolly go 1/3's with a couple friends.
It...
I've got suprarich's back. He gave me a FREE stock exhaust (in mint condition. thanks again) when mine broke in half. All I had to do was go pick it up from him. I also sold him that tranny that sits in his 89. He's NOT gonna pocket the money. I'd put my word on it.
I don't have any money I...
looks like he eliminated everything but the engine and brake booster. You know, it'd look a lot cleaner without that huge shiny thing sitting in there :). Looks great.
I've got the heavy shockproof. Worked great all summer but it's starting to cool down now (northeast ohio) so I have to let it warm up a bit in the mornings.
I'd say get ddp, but to recirc or not is the real question. With the ddp and stock catback at 12psi I made 262hp 292tq TO THE WHEELS!. Is it loud: Yes. Does it scare people: yes. Do I love it: HELL YES! You'll just learn how to drive without boosting. An EBC would make it easier since it doesn't...
haha. Northeast ohio cold 30 degree nights now. I let her warm up for 5 minutes or so. She runs really rough cold, the tranny really hates running cold and won't go into second running redline heavy shockproof. I prefer to let the car idle until the revs drop, the oil pressure starts coming...
yup....18" breaker bar and the handle of your floor jack (or any large pipe that will fit over the breaker bar) 5' of leverage does the trick pretty easy
