A/F ratio, RPM, and gas mileage

if I'm not mistaken...valve float is actually caused by very high rpm....in which the the valves don't get to close before the cam comes back around...so the valve is in a limbo cause the springs aren't strong enough to move the valve quick enough...more common in motorcycles that push 9-10,000...

    Resurface?

guess it's too late for someone to measure the ID of that bearing and I can turn another tool right now and overnight it Friday morning...

    Resurface?

boy do I feel stupid now...thought he meant throw out... Damn I really wish I made a bunch of the tool I made to remove my pilot...I'd send one over night to him! That tool made it super easy to remove the bearing with grease.....if I had another bearing to measure I'd make a shit load of...

    Odometer Miles with bigger tires

still don't under stand the "better" part....your not getting better of anything unless you only do highway driveing in which you may get "better" miles per gallon.... But what you are getting is an incorrect reading on your od because it thinks it's on normal size tires.

    Odometer Miles with bigger tires

oh don't put words in my mouth...didn't say your getting better gas milage...bigger tires are harder to turn remember....if that was the case I'd go out and put some wicked farm tractor tires on my car. Think of it like a speed bike...the gear that makes you go the fastiest is also the...

    Odometer Miles with bigger tires

so yes I'd expect to see less miles shown on a mechanical od...and if your speedo was correct then you'll be going a few mph faster then what it reads...

    Odometer Miles with bigger tires

yes your speedO is incorrect...as majority of ours are....BUT bigger tires will also effect speedo readings...with a larger tire, you'll cover more area per revolution...

    Resurface?

like I said earlier...it will probably hold but just not forever...should get you by for a meet....I'd limit clutch dumps and only get in it while from a roll. A bran new disk "should" be broke in...but in your case I doubt that used/resurfaced pp will last long enough as I'm sure alot of...

    Resurface?

Slight correction...machining is the process useing machines to cut material...cutting on a lathe is still a "machine finish...or machine'd"...you want the flywheel "ground" not "turned"(turning is what a lathe does)... Now excuse me as I have to get back to my lathe and stop messin around on...

    Resurface?

I very well be talking out my ass....but in my mind I see resurfaceing the plate will reduce clamping pressure as it loses a bit of travel if your picking up what I'm laying down...

    Resurface?

I'd never resurface a plate but that's me....I'd get a new plate and resurface the flywheel.....and I doubt it will hold 400 hp very long on a stock pp

fast mods for the drag strip

0 to 60 in 5 minuets flat... To be honest, I think it's retarded to race a stock supra....it's not going to be impressive at all....especially a tired supra! Good luck in whatever you do (even if it's boring the hell out of people waiting for you to finally cross the 1/4 mile at 92 mph).
