And as far as the readings go, its probably good but there are a few things you should look at.
Find out how they performed this test. If they were using an air gun to rotate the crank then you may have a main crank pulley bolt that has been over torqued. Not a big deal - I would just...
It is possible to to a compression check with the motor out of the car. As long as the flywheel or flexplate and the starter is installed then the starter solenoid can be bridged manually with a spare battery to turn over the motor.
The motor has to be secure though - it might move around so...
is your 89 an NA? Im using an AEM, so I dont know exactly how to wire up your sensors like the TPS because I havent looked into it.
Ive heard of a few people that are using the 7m ECU and harness to run a 2jz. I think you would have an easier time using the 7M harness/ECU and a CPS from a...
Not trying to be a jerk or anything, but you arent getting any answers because this is kind of a silly question. Unless of course you are the girl in your avitar - if so I dont know why EVERYBODY isnt answering your question.
The "turbo tubing that draws in air from the intake and pushes air...
Im just trying to get a feel for the AEM..... I like to see what others are doing before I go crazy and change a bunch of shit that doesnt need changing.
As of late, ive been figuring out exactly how im going to get the 7M cps to talk to the ECU and act like a cam/crank sensor. DaveH and...
This guy put a 2jzge - t in his MKII. He swapped out the pistons, but you dont have to do that. A 2.5 or 2mm head gasket will drop your CR enough. You could even go with a 1.5 to keep it peppy on the bottom end.

So I have spent about 6 hours now chasing wires and moving wires to new pins on my harness.
Im using a TT AEM ECU with a 2jzge-T setup. 2jzge wire harness.
Ignition: AEM CDI to TT coil-on-plug with CPS in place of distributor
Wideband o2 has yet to go in.
Using the pin assignments...
No - no disrespect to you man - you have done a good job putting your car together.
The point is that the 2JZGE is damn near the same thing as the 2JZGTE and it is INEXPENSIVE. If going big single it is a very cost-effective option.
Sorry bro - I disagree with you. I think the turbo STOCK w/HG 2jzge is a much more cost-effective route than building a 7m for high HP. If you plan on staying around 4-500 then the stock block 7m is a good choice, but anything higher, IMO, is a waste of money when rebuilding the 7M with upgraded...
Well - if you are going 2j na-T, I assume you want some big power. You can run a 2jzge at 600+ reliably.
The 1000 for the turbo kit is a wash - you will spend that for a 7m also.... Support stuff (injectors, turbo, exhaust, manifold, etc) is going to be the same for both motors. The point is...
*** This is something I took from the other thread where I explain all of my justifications. I dont feel like typing this out again.***
The whole point of what im saying is comparing this to building a 7m with forged internals that is capable of CONSISTENTLY running 500+ hp. If you have a...
Uhm close.....
Blueprinting refers to ensuring all of the measurements (rod pin/crank center, pison width, crank, etc etc) is PERFECTLY within specification. These measurements can be off if an engine has been run for awhile, but unless your motor has significant wear (burning oil or knock)...
I assume that you are going to hone the cylinders then? My 7M cylinder walls were in excellent condition still on my 200k 7M. Cross hatch was still visible.
That rebuild does sound relatively inexpensive, and a little bit closer to what I would expect to pay if everything was OK with the...
