Stuck on Turbo Decision - Help Me Decide

get the GT - its the replacement for the outdated T series. Precision, turbonetics, its, etc are all the same with internals on T series turbos - the only difference is the casting and possibly mix/match of compressors vs. turbines. A GT series wheel will always be more efficient than a T...

The Build of p5150 - 2JZGE-T, GT4294, Paint, and more stuff

Thanks to somebody's previous advice I was able to source a set of wire clips for my MKIV GTE coil packs from a late 90's 4-runner/truck/camry or something. The carbonetic triple plate has been installed. That went pretty fast. It was nice to get the slave cylinder, associated hardware, and...

    2JZ NA-T in my 87T

Just get some 2jz bolts and they should fit just fine to get the right size belt just use a piece of string and run it like you would without the ps and ac. Measure the string and then get a belt from napa. You dont have to be car specific to get a belt.

I dont know how you are going to incorporate the fuel feed on the gas tank - im not saying its impossible I just dont know how you will do it. Also you will have to figure out the mounting for the secondary fuel filter and get the fittings lined up. Im not going to use the OEM filter again. I...

    Poor paint, wax question

Go to an auto body supply store for your stuff. search for "cutting and buffing paint" on google to read up on how to do it. Take your time because it is easy to ruin a paintjob if you are careless. I heard that this stuff works really well...

    Poor paint, wax question

Sounds like oxidization. Scrub it down a couple of times with lots of dish soap and a terry cloth. Buff it out in the shade with cutting compound, polishing compound and finishing compound. Use an orbital buffer Wax It will look like glass.

For brake/carb cleaner and lube I use the SuperTech wal-mart brand. The "lubricant" is better than WD40 in a lot of aspects and is cheaper. It also works well as a mild solvent to clean stuff up. The carb cleaner is great because it is 100 percent evaporative and doesnt leave a film. I use...

new downpipe, test pipe and filter... still only sees 5-6psi...

I still think you should shim the wastegate a bit. Also, get rid of the stock aluminum lower intercooler pipe elbow. Replace it with a mild steel exhaust pipe joint with a larger ID. I dont think your problem is with the catback.

R154 or Clutch Troubles please help

about 3 inches longer should do it. You need it long enough to compensate for the pilot bearing shaft on the tip of the splined shaft, flywheel thickness and disc center. If you do this just be careful to bring the tranny straight back and not tweak the bolts holding it in.
