Not trying to start a war or argue with anybody specifically but I think this is kind of misleading by saying that Precision "makes" the GT .... or that ITS "makes" whatever turbo they have; it gives some people unfamiliar with the whole thing a false sense of who really manufactures their...
get a toyota shim tool off of ebay for cheap.
I have one and it works http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Toyota-Valve-Adjustment-Engine-Parts-Repair-Tools_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ35625QQihZ002QQitemZ120125946891QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWD1V
I sent you a PM about a clutch for your setup. I have a carbonetic triple plate and quality appeared to be very good. I have yet to drive the damn car though.
when you say precision, sp, turbonetics, etc they are all GARRETT turbos with custom or matched/mismatched housings. They all have garrett internals.
I bought a GT42 94 from turbos direct in AZ for about 1200
Theres only three wires from the ecu that feed into the TEMS. The other ones look to be independent. Ive been looking to see what the wires that come out of the TCCS that feed to the TEMS actually "say" but I cant find it anywhere...
Lots of stuff is headed my way! Its a good thing I will have some time off to meet mr UPS/FEDEX/USPS/DHL at the door! I am oh so poor now.
Please forgive the crude formatting:

Not quite sure what to think about that - some of the things the guys are "calling out" really arent correct. Look at page six where the guy is describing the flanges and how he "doesnt have a T4 flange". What he fails to notice in his own argument is that his illustrations are not to scale...
Well, I dont quite know how to take that but if you meant that I didnt take care of my engine Im actually offended. I think its funny how people blame the owner of any 7m that gets a knock for not checking the oil or some other shit.
Most 7ms are pretty reliable if maintained, but many people...
Thats funny IJ - I was saying the same thing last year in trying to explain why I went with a 2jz na-T platform but people just wanted to crucify me for it!
I agree with jdub -
If you are worried about it take it back to the machinist and see what they can do to help you out. They can probably just fill it in a bit with a weld and re-surface it very easily.
:stickpoke this engine doesnt have lifters. Look up valve adjustment in the TSRM to solve all your problems
And I would like to see this bolt that holds the piston to the cam..... That would be a pretty interesting engine.
