nah, i looked, but nothing i could see. I'll have to ask SP tomorrow. If it is boost creep then its pretty religious. Third gear and up has major issues with overboosting.

I have no clue whatsoever what the A/R is on this turbo, i've wondered this for awhile.

Yea, I think I'll give them a ringer tomorrow. I'm getting boost from an air compressor right now, when its running its connected from the compressor outlet to the wastegate.

haha thanks for breaking it down IJ. My turbo is sitll under warranty, so if all else fails i can just call them up and tell them my problem. I apprecaite all the help!

no, no leaks from the actuator, It'll hold boost all day. and.. can you run that second part by me one more time. lol.

thanks for the quick reply guys.. I dont know what you mean my what sort.. its just an internal WG that came on the SP61GT. Would i need to shorten or legnthen the actuator arm to fix this problem?

okay.. i connected an air compressor to the wastegate as IJ told me to. I found that my wastegate barely cracks open at 20psi.. WTF? I found that the wastegate did not fully open until 35psi. That is not normal wastegate operation, is it?! If this thing is supposed to have a 15psi spring, and...

OK, looks like i'm making progress.. It appears to me that my internally gated turbo may have conflicts with my downpipe. Does anyone else run the SP61GT with a cooleze?? I dont know anyone that does. I think that either the lever which attaches to the actuator arm is hitting the bottom flange...

yea, thats what i'm saying, i've never heard of this problem once. What could it be, because the only thing i can think of is a boost leak (if that even makes sense), or some other problem like IJ was saying.

I'll try that first, it seems like an easy way to test the function of the actuator

the vac source is good, it comes directly from the compressor housing. The only way i know i can test the wastegate operation is rigging up a vac line from the wastegate actuator to an air compressor and watch. I was thinking, if i had a boost leak then that would allow the boost to build...

okay, There is nothing near the wastegate actuator arm at all, but i did notice that the arm had a bolt on it, it is adjustable. If i played around with the actuator arm could that fix my problem?

I agree, thats the problem with a lot of the boost creep scenarios, but I bought this turbo with the internal wastegate, with a 15psi spring, I'll have to call SP and see if they've ever had problems with this before.

I am running a boost controller, it did it when it wasnt installed too. I havnt looked at the arm and i will later tonight, and i belive it would keep creeping if i kept on it. I'll post back later tonight after work. Thanks guys.
