Tire company from the Netherlands, their Ultrac Sessanta tires are getting excellent reviews on the corvette and 350z forums and they're cheap. I paid $99 for 235's for my TT wheels, rears are $160 each (275).
Been about 3mo since I spun the tires in a car, can't...
Glad you got it figured out, sorry I didn't call, was busy (see build thread :D). Horay for idling garage queens :biglaugh:
Ordered the last of my bike gear today, should have yo money in the next couple of days...
Jay-burnout vids will come soon, gotta wear out the bridgestones so I can buy a pair of Vredestien's to match the front :)
Scott, couldn't have done it without your help, thanks for pioneering (others as well) and putting up with all of my questions :D
Thanks guys! The big power will come soon enough, for now I'm running stock MKIII injectors and will keep the boost around 11psi while I work the bugs out...
Here are some pics (listen to the video and look at them since I can't change the video orientation:biglaugh:)
Looks good! I have the same IC kit, worked great on my 2j swap with the addition of a 45deg coupler on the turbo and another straight pipe (routed downward off the turbo 45), just had to cut the pipe that runs to the TB because the 2jzge TB is longer:
Also went through the fender for the IC...
Nice, I haven't really worked on the BPs, but a few buddies and I picked up a Festiva with a partially done BP swap (1.8L Escort engine) that we're going to turbo and run in the Grassroots Motorsports $2008 challenge.
Got any info on your buddies car? I parted and sold mine to fund the Supra...
I used DIS-8 wires from a Mustang, you can get them cheap here: http://www.boostengineering.net/category.sc?categoryId=6
With 8 wires you have enough options you can mount the coils alot of places.
I have a $10 Harbor Freight timing light if you want to borrow it. No guarantees that it'll be accurate though, although that's implied in the name I think ;) I'm pretty sure engines in China spin the other direction and that's where the inaccuracy comes in:offwall:
That 2j looks right at home in the bay :)
George-it looks like the spring cruise won't happen, last I heard was gas was too expensive and everyone is busy so we're going to wait until fall when gas will still be expensive :biglaugh:
My WG fits ok on the manifold, but there's no room for a dump tube. Seems like the options are having the flange rotated 90 degrees or just letting it dump against the block or framerail (what I'm going to do for now)..
So you're the guy that got the throttle cable Jon mocked up on my car :D Looking forward to the build, hopefully mine will be running by the time yours is...
