Well, thought I had it fixed... Picked up a few 90deg copper elbows at lunch and went home to fix it up. 1/2" fit the best (it was either 1/2 or 3/4), got everything tightened up and refilled/burped the system and drove it to work. Pulled in the parking garage and was letting the car cool...
225mi FTL :biglaugh: Was backing into the garage after my MSF class tonight and noticed a trail of coolant under the car, seems the outlet on my heater control valve decided to break off, I'm probably lucky I made it home...
Time for a parts search...
Mine slides out easily too, held up 200mi so far. You also need covers on the sides where the inspection holes are. I got some off of a member here for $30, could probably also make 'em.
Haha, me too. I was up until 2 or 3AM every night and had to get up at 7 for work:biglaugh: I didn't get moving until about noon on Saturday and 1:30 on Sunday. Sound like you're makin some progress:naughty:
I felt bad enough putting an $80 WG on my $100 manifold ;) Then again, my motor was only $250 so I can buy 2 more for the price of the Greddy WG :biglaugh:
Up to 180mi now, still running good :) Refilled the tank, ended up getting 17.5mpg, not bad for around town driving. I'm at the fun part now, driving and putting the rest of the stuff in as I feel like it :D
You just don't appreciate the custom JDM rocker seat. It adds to the overall passenger experience by making it feel like you're getting pushed back in the seat :biglaugh:
At least my axles don't click :icon_razz
The ground wire did it, Figgie FTMFW!!
Jon and I rolled up to the local meetup tonight, nice to finally have something to show :) There was a kid in an MKIII hanging out with the ricer Cavaliers and Tiburons (neons and lambo doors), gotta get him away from those guys lol.
Did some cruising...
Ran a ground wire from the battery to one of the screws on one of the coils, gonna test it out later on and see if it helped. Also changed the oil, getting to the filter is a b!tch!!
Yea, I just realized that I put the metal gasket between the flange with the raised lip and the WG instead of the manifold and the flange with the lip.
The routing of the dump pipe is much better with that greddy WG, wonder how long until there's knockoffs for cheapskates like me :biglaugh:
Does anyone have pictures of the 7M ECU mounting? My ECU was sitting in the glovebox when I bought the car (PO just cut the back of the glovebox out and had it sitting in there) and I can't for the life of me figure out how to bolt it in. I think I may be missing a bracket or something because...
