well, earlier i was debating on if i should get a GTO or a truck. well, i got the truck.
it's a 2002 dodge 1500 SLT. i paid 10,500 for it.
my buddy has the red one, i have the TRUCK
i had a geo storm once and someone broke into it. they popped the passenger lock off. hey stole my amp and head unit. left the subs alone though. people that steal piss me off very much.
from what i have read in the past the bolts they come with are the weak point. getting a good set of ARP bolts should should make them a lot more reliable.
i thought about doing this... but i'd rather have a stock looking cluster. i'm kinda in and out with it. i'd probably do it with greddy gauges. they look best in an mk3, that's what i think. i don't like the ricer looking gauges that are all glowing.. yuck
i can't wait to get my car in a NOPI car show. it seems my car is always down every time there is a show. as it will be this year.. but there is hope, lol
last NOPI i went to there was 1 mk3 supra. it looked kinda rough
i had a 12x24x4 in once. it fit fine. you have to take off the support bracket for the hood latch and make our own that won't interfere with the intercooler. i made my own support brackets for the bottom and top of the intercooler. i bought another supra and this time i got a 12x24x3. it was...
^i really hope you're a :boobies: and not a :nutswinger ... lol
does anyone know the measurment sof the stock radiator? i found this today and it might be a great deal. i asked the guy if he can get some pics of it in an MK3 supra for me. i'm deployed right now so i can't measure it...
the ecu kinda needs the factory 02 sensor. just having a wideband on there will do nothing for the car. it's just for you to monitor to make sure you aren't gonna melt a piston.
if the engine runs great why would you start taking stuff off of it?
that'd be worth trying if your stock unit went out and you need to get a replacement. i don't know how much used ct26 turbos go for...maybe $100... so another $150 wouldn't hurt, espically if it works great.
my engine had no emmisions stuff on it. the egr was blocked off at both ends of the intake manifold. i had no charcol canister and my cat was gutted out, which i didn't know when i bought the car. car ran great though. never really had a problem with it.. egr wise
yeah i shouldn't have sold that one... or at least for that low of a price. i was getting discouraged cause it needed a few things.. mainly a TPS which was way too expensive and a speedo cable, both are an easy fix but had no money at all. at the time i was hurtin for money and i didn't just...
my other build thread is gone :(
here i have a 89 NA 5spd targa
this will be my second time swapping in a 2jz into an mk3. so things should go a little bit easier this time, especially as far as the wiring goes.
here's a reference link for others doing the swap...
i started out building up my 7M... then i decided to switch to a 2JZ. i spent $5k on getting the motor in and running(including the motor). dyno'd at 470rwhp
i LOVED it. i sold the car and i bought another, don't ask me why,lol
but i bought another 2JZ to do the swap again.
