my other build thread is gone :(

here i have a 89 NA 5spd targa

this will be my second time swapping in a 2jz into an mk3. so things should go a little bit easier this time, especially as far as the wiring goes.

here's a reference link for others doing the swap

http://www.supramania.com/forums/showthread.php?t=45587

here's what i have so far

: Drivetrain:
-1JZ Lightweight Flywheel
-ARP Flywheel Bolts
-R154 and i will be getting a short shifter for it this time
-3.73 LSD

:Fuel/Air/Tuning:
-HKS dual feed rail
-HKS AFPR
-Greddy 720cc injectors
-K&N FIPK
-Greddy Profec B Spec-2
-12x24x3 Intercooler by GodSpeed

:Wheels/Tires:
-ASA AR2 18' wheels

There is a lot more stuff i'm going to get. It's just gonna take some time. I plan on running a GT45 or a T70 turbo from XSPower. I've had one before on my previous 2jz swap and i was very pleased with it's performance. I'm gonna get a good coilover suspension and better rotors for improved braking. As well as a better sway bar kit and a steel 1 piece driveshaft. I want this car to be at the 600rwhp mark and be able to control it on the track drifting or on a course track. i heard of one in savannah which i really want to check out.

Glad you decided to do it again. I remembered when you sold the last one for a killer price after you did the swap. I knew that you would come back though with a MKIII (and not a MKIV ;)) Can't wait to see the build.

yeah i shouldn't have sold that one... or at least for that low of a price. i was getting discouraged cause it needed a few things.. mainly a TPS which was way too expensive and a speedo cable, both are an easy fix but had no money at all. at the time i was hurtin for money and i didn't just want it sittin there. plus i really wanted the 89+ style wing and tail lights. i didn't want to just buy the lights and put them on my 87 cause it looks weird with that center piece, i didn't want my car looking trashy.

^i really hope you're a :boobies: and not a :nutswinger ... lol

does anyone know the measurment sof the stock radiator? i found this today and it might be a great deal. i asked the guy if he can get some pics of it in an MK3 supra for me. i'm deployed right now so i can't measure it.

i went ahead and bought some radiator hoses. i thought about getting a hard pipe, but this way i can reduce the number of connections.

In my attemp to test fit my Greddy injectors in my newly acquired HKS fuel rail, i have come across a fitment issue. The fuel rail is tightened all the way and the injectors are not long enough, or the spacers for the rail are too long. It is a used setup from a member on SF that i assume had no problems, like what i seem to have. Anyone know what i can do here?
