Question for any old school MAF-T users.

you can't expect the ECU to do anything predictable when you eliminate one of its primary sensors. pull the TB, read the TSRM, set the TPS. as always, make the car run right BEFORE modding it....

    Sound of TiAL BOV

when properly used, the tial is nothing more than a PSSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHH. the problem being that it's a HUGE valve and needs a fairly stiff spring to keep it from being open @ vac. that leads to surge @ such low boost levels.

    AN fittings wrench

i'm aware of that...and i have 2 sets.but if you've ever assembled a lot of hose, you'll find that sometimes you need a non-std size wrench....hence the convenience of a crescent....

    VPC/SAFC

the VPC is a generic device, one that can be used in multiple vehicles. its input/output is configured via DIP switches, located inside the case. since you don't have the proper harness for your car, you'll need to hard wire, as shown above....or source the proper harness.

    VPC/SAFC

heh. no more complicated than any other install. the point of that diagram is for someone who doesn't have the VPC wiring harness (it was PnP). get the resistor @ radio shack. yup, you can simply cut the 2 wires and solder it in....probably best to do that @ the ECU as well.

    VPC Diagnostics?

i'm not sure....i'll have to dig into it and see what i can find....i vaguely recall something about a blinking light....
  14. D

    VPC/SAFC

as stated above, you want the SAFC after the ECU because the VPC's output is fairly "dirty".....the SAFC seems to do a good job of cleaning it up.

    Gauging intrest....

heck no. as always, you know i'm in....heck, if we get enough people and need freight, we can ship to my workplace....
  16. D

    VPC/SAFC

again, i'm unsure where the problem is- VPC->SAFC->ECU. tune it properly w/a WB....and you're done. if you're only going to be running it for a little while, use your head and don't crank the boost....that won't end well.

more trouble than they're worth. the rising rate is never the same...i used multiple versions.
