Cams are so cool ;)
My head's going to the shop today with everything.
That's cool you're going turbo A duct. I haven't seen or heard of any in AL with them.
The headgaskets nearly match as far as coolant holes go. The 1JZ-GTE head gasket does NOT have secondary holes for coolant on some areas vs. the 2JZ-GE gasket having more (just one more 3mm hole.....). However, the 1JZ-GTE lives on this, and the 2JZ-GE head will too.
Also, the back timing...
Jay, you just need to get all your stuff in and put it together and stop changing your mind ;)
I think you're going for 500RWHP and you're just not telling me, lol.
First it was the turbo, then the cams, now the fuel... Soon you'll be installing dual walbro's and going...
Aaron, I have to use my Megasquirt II for this one, as the Stinger is already planned for my 87 1.5JZ w/K-26 twins. I need the two step for my 87 ;)
Edit: We changed our mind.
Well, here's the 2JZ-GE head on the 1JZ-GTE block. I figured I had the two pieces why not make a motor with it? The 1JZ head is going on the GE block. We used ARP head Studs, and the bottom end is stock. My more recent post on Page 2 talks about the issue we're having finishing this. You...
The DIS-4 is your NEW ignitor. If you want to 2 step it, I'd recommend different coils. Stock ones having issues.
The GM replacements from Summit are cheap good replacements. MSD also has some good ones slightly superior, but same voltage.
Just FYI, this is what I've researched so far...
If you are going for more than 600RWHP, then I would recommend that rail. Even my 800cc side feeds the rail just won't flow it and will not get the proper fuel for me to make over 600+RWHP safely so I have to use my additional injectors in my intercooler piping.
Wiring a resistor pack isn't...
That would be impossible with your setup because 7M-GE's already have the largest intake manifold ports and I doubt the bearings in the wheels can take the exhaust pressure before boost crap flew out the hood.
#2 you'll have to relocate your PS res and I doubt you can use an AFM again, or any turbo without having a flange to rotate it away. I doubt this to be a hit.
#3 is most user friendly, that will let you use the space along your firewall most efficiently.
#1 Be different and it's the...
