Just a hair huh. I just took a look at the pics and DAAAAAAMN. The compressor wheel on the 57 trim look like a joke compared to the t61. If its not exactly 61mm it looks pretty darn close IMO. Ill be checkin this thread on monday for any updates. Keep up the GOOD work on the info and pics :beer:

Pulling the engine or engine + transmission is a personal prefference. I pull both together and put them back in together. I think its easier and when the engine is out you can wire up everything and itll be easier. Dont forget to put new valve stems. Keep up the good work....keep us posted with...

You asked what your next move should be and many of us will advice you to pull the engine. If you dont know how to mic then have a machine shop that has knowledge of 7M s do it for you. You might just need to fresh up the block with new rings and bearings. The head might just need some new valve...

Excessive crankcase pressure , from experience, means 1. bad valve stems 2. Bad rings I have had this when two or my cylinder ringlands cracked. Do the test and post the results and while you at it a compression test wouldnt hurt.
