Looking at the 044, running it inline with a Walbro in tank with no sump, wouldn't the walbro be a restriction? Would it shorten the life of either pump?
I've got an Aeromotive, but I only want to put it on one car, the other one I want to try the 044.
He's not having trouble with the turbo.
Did I drop my bowels on your beloved 7M? Which is modified more than his 2J? The 2J-GE (non-turbo) would still make more HP with your mods, which is sad considering how much you spent in the process.
Only a pompus ass would tell me to enjoy my HP...
In his case I was stating the cams are not what's causing his power to be so low.
One would hope HKS 280's would make more power than stock GE profiles*
The caps are not very reliable. No way I'm trusting them for long on my engine.
We'll all bust a cap at some point in time.
I suggest tapping and put a plug in it. Seal it for good.
I swapped setups from the stock 7M coils to the 1J coils. I used a timing light on their respected feeds (plug wire for 7M, lead wires to 1J coil 1) just fine with no problems. There was enough voltage with mine. I was using the MSD DIS-4 both times.
Try the tach out, shouldn't blow...
I may be mistaken, but I recall that ACL's were recommended by a lot of high HP (800whp+) MKIV Supras back in the day. Not really sure what they're using these days.
Still, I don't doubt you at all IJ.
I used Clevite's in the past, and they worked great...... with oil. hehe
Tell them what you want, they make it to your specs.
Then take the box, and the supplied wiring harness and wire it up.
I'm going to use a 36-1 Fluidyne JZ dampener adapter. It's hot.
SPEC couldn't handle your powah?
No good man. Let us know what went wrong, and all the feedback on their side, I'm interested to know if this is isolated or maybe a bad batch of material, or something else.
My timing was way off at one time. That one time my damn crank pulley seperated (dry rot), so instead of it being at 10TDC, the timing was way off. It only moved a little bit, but you could definately notice the difference in timing.
Later, the motor killed itself. Timing is everything...
Same place I bought my MSII board, 12' harness, and simulator board from. Takes the work out for you. All you have to do is wire it up, and get it tuned.
Too bad I'm in Iraq, and can't finish my MKII project. Oh well. Maybe next year.
