Stock 1J valve train will support 8K already for the most part. I'm not saying you can blindly run high lift cams or anything.
Power wise, the stock cams will hold you back high rpm.
I'm sure the 2J you're talking about, has had more money dumped into the head than most good condition MKIII's...
Aftermarket twin kits for any of the JZ engines is bling. It's so much easier to just go single. If you want to pay double or more for a kit, go for it. It isn't really going to matter whether or not you're going single or twin unless you really care about whatever efficiency theory you're...
My A1000 is mounted inside the bottom of the stock fuel tank, no sump required.
The eliminator pumps are better though.
Either way, I strongly suggest a fuel pump controller. No sense in having the A1000 pump flow at it's maximum at idle...
If I lived anywhere that close to you, you could use my garage for beer, and I'd help.
C'mon, someone out there has a garage!
I know there are people in those areas that can help you out. Have you tried asking on Supraforums?
If you're going for 600whp+, I recommend you look into top feed rail + injectors, or modify the stock 1J rail to accept dual feed.
You may run into fueling issues at high RPM with the stock single feed rail, no matter what size injectors you decide to use for that goal.
Would rather not.
Gold thermal coated, and thermal wrapped. There are two seperate downpipes which run underneath the car, which each seperately connecting to a seperate collector pipe. I don't want to cut/bend one, and leave the other one the same and make the collector useless. the kit...
The whole reason I want to keep the 1J block is that the turbo kit I have was made specifically for the deck height of the 1JZ. You can't tell by looking at the motor, or all of it in the car, but when I actually installed the downpipes, intake pipes, and the intercooler piping, they were made...
Yeah but the source is someone who actually seems to know. The turbo kit I have hates the 2cm taller deck height.
I drove it, I just never had a change to boost it up though. I kinda wish I went with a stock 1J harness/electronics, and just ordered a Sard ECU or something. I just don't...
I was building up a 1J around my turbo kit and thought about this...
The 1J and 2J cranks are the same, why not use a 2JZ stroker kit (pistons included) on a 1J with custom rods?
I'm looking at the Titan Poorboy 3.2L kit for the 2J.
EDIT: The things I think about when I'm on vacation....
