Ahhh endless hours bringing a car back from the dead, fond memories. Make sure you give me a list of the stuff you need so I can set it aside. I got the fender and a bunch of stuff off the car the other night.
Btw I got Michee's supra back to together the other day and she finally got to...
It looks to me as though the cut wires are the knock sensor wires. They would not cause a no start but would cause an engine light.
Also as for the no start you have power but have u checked for ground. A lot of people think power is the only thing to worry about, but ground is just as...
Also just cause an injectors resistance is ok does not mean the injector is working, use a stethoscope or something to listen to the injectors to make sure they click. If they are clicking that pretty much rules out the ecu and the injectors as being bad. My money would be on a hg fail, if you...
I just bought a bag a radio shack from their electronics bin, but dont expect too much help from the people that work there, most of them dont even know they have the bins. Sorry didnt keep the bag or the numbers but I got 20 males and 20 females for $1.50. Was two years ago but I would think...
The cleaner one is a jdm one thats why its missing the extra vac port jdms dont have an egr so no need for that vac hose. As for the tps not sure never took mine off, but I am going to end up replacing the whole thing anyways because the throttle bracket is different too. In the jdm ones the...
No pcv system is stock. The car in itself is completely bone stock. I figure the cometic seals are one of the best seals you can get and far above stock ones. Like I said though before doing the seals I had oil in cyl 6 and that was it, now with no other mods other then a working bov I have...
So I think I screwed up in a week of everything screwing up. Ok for the start, the car has a jdm 89+ motor straight from japan. Spec'ed and inspected everything while head gasket was off and everything was good. So I had some really bad white smoke which was very strange, because it turned...
Just for the sake of it.
Also may want to make sure the immobilizer is not on. Every once in a while when I disconnect my battery the immobilizer kicks on and the car wont start, of course this make the starter not engage, but I dont know how it goes about doing it. Anyways to check for...
Also you can do a wet test to check if its the rings, put a small amount of oil in the cyl before doing the test, if the values are a lot better with the oil in it its ring wear. As for the exhaust valve make sure you had the #6 piston at tdc on compression stroke. So the crank will be 180 out.
That may be the best bet unless you know your way around wiring diagrams and electrical testing. You may have ended up blowing a fuseable link somewhere or a wire itself and they can be hard to track in an entire harness.
But when checking fuses, make sure that not only should u check to see...
So does the 89 up turbo computer only have 3 plugs? cause that is how both of the ecus I have are. And they are turbo computers, grey connectors.
Guessing they got rid of the extra connector in 89+.
^ Didnt think of that yea check that for dirt, bebris, sludge. All the valve does is when you are under load from turning it will let some air bypass the throttle plate increasing idle some. This will not make the power steering not work, if its not working it will just make the cars idle drop...
Kill one cylinder at a time by either pulling the plug wires off (pita 3000 pipe) or pull the injector clips one at a time, if one only affects the motors idle when pulled compared to the rest that is the cyl that has the problem. Also a stethoscope on the injectors will let you listen to what...
btw due to the ones being under the intake you will want to take them off the distributor. Just dont do it while running unless you want to learn a lesson the hard way.
Didnt think about the oil in the galley that is a common problem, but I usually figure pulling the plug wires and checking for oil or whatnot is a given so take it for granted.
The canister should have a vac line on top that routes from there across to a metal pipe on the afm, then from...
