My 2JZ-powered 91T buildup- Project "I drive it to the track"

Sale is pending on the whole swap. I picked up an 86.5 N/A hardtop sport package today that will be recieving the coilovers, roll cage, and lots of other goodies both on the 91 and laying around waiting to be installed. The engine is siezed and will be replaced with a 7M-GE that I've been trying...

My 2JZ-powered 91T buildup- Project "I drive it to the track"

Engine is finished, but I decided to go a different route and the engine, harness, ECU and a few other items are now for sale over on that "other" forum, soon to be posted here too. On that note, here's some pics of the finished product.

Well...we're minus one more MKIII on the road.

Headgasket fixes are nothing after you have done a few. It takes me 2 afternoons and about $500 for gaskets and machine work. N/A's are obviously quicker and involve less cursing and fewer baked broken connectors.

    TRD Shift knobs

Called Champion Toyota this afternoon and ordered mine. They said they had 6 left not including the one I bought. Thanks for the heads up! I've wanted one of these for a while. :D

    My MAP sensor is melting!

The black goo on the bottom of my MAP sensor that used to be pretty solid is melting away! I don't think it's been in contact with any harsh chemicals or any more heat than usual. Has anybody seen this, is it bad, and is there something I can do to stop it? I can see the circuit board under...

    Cold Start Issues

My 2J does something similar on cold starts only it seems to either be getting too much fuel or trying to idle too low. When its cold it will crank fire then die, but if I give it just enough throttle to keep it from dying it will usually run on its own after it warms for thirty seconds or so...

    Hmmm, go MKIV?

I did. As said a few page or so back, I prefer the feel of the MKIII. MKIV's can be pretty, but MKIII's are just plain badass. Trust me, with the time and effort that I have collectively into MKIII's, I could have a MKIV. But I've still got my MKIII and no regrets.

The making of custom CNC parts = fun! (Installed pics of part updated on page 1 )

Looks good! If I had a 7M I'd buy one. You sure you don't want to produce these?

Ic piping setup hate or love

This one gets my vote. I'm one who cares less about looks than performance. As long as it's not coated in a layer of grease and grime, it's beautiful in my book. :D

    Hmmm, go MKIV?

Being in debt may be something that you can't avoid at this point in time, but why you're in debt and how much is something that you definitely can influence. That is all.

    Hmmm, go MKIV?

I get that all the time as soon as somebody mentions that I drive a Supra... Only I get to say, "Why, yes. It is. :D"

I'll use my tax refund to pay for shipping of your old rims to me if you really don't like them that much. :D
