what do you guys think of this IC pipe?

I have one of these, bought it when the stock hose on my first supra, 90T, got cooked by the manifold and split. Fitment is great, no complaints. I still have the pipe but no 7M supra to put it on. Its got some rust on it where the paint came off. If anybody wants it pm me an offer. I'll wire...

Are you lowered/how much? The fronts should be ok but 285 in the rear will rub I think without a pull. Collin

I'm in for the 5th gear! I can't afford to ship an R154 both ways. lol

New 5th gear for the R154 - how about a taller overdrive?

Thanks for clarifying the 70mph speed and ratio. Only slightly off topic, but I'm sure that many in this thread will be wondering as well: I've rebuilt a few manual transmissions in the past, so I'm familiar with what's involved, but I have been wanting to ask somebody who has done it a few...

New 5th gear for the R154 - how about a taller overdrive?

At 70km/h, roughly 45mph, I would definately expect it to bog in 5th gear. However at ~70mph, highway cruising speed for me here, 5th is almost a power gear lol. As stated in my previous post, my 88 NA got amazing fuel economy with stock gearing, but I believe that it could benifit from a...

New 5th gear for the R154 - how about a taller overdrive?

Used to get +/- 29 mpg in my all stock '88 NA 5spd hard top cruising avg. 70mph. Hoping that my 86.5 hard top sport package w/ a 2JZ-GE > R154 > lightweight 1pc shaft > 4.30LSD will do better (and be a lot quicker lol). I'm interested in this mod!! How'd you like to rebuild my R154 for me? :D...

    pre 89 ???

The wiring is different. The motor portion itself has a different wiring connection, and the whole unit uses a different plug than the 89+ motor. My 86.5 and 87 units definately wont plug into my 91 car. (I have an 86.5, and 87, and a 91 with another 91 coming later in the week.)

    pre 89 ???

Easy. Take all the parts you need and swap them to the pre-89. Body harness and engine harness. The headlight motors are different, too.

That color combo is kinda neat, actually.

    Post your Pre-89 bumper thread

Two options: weatherstripping or garden bed/lawn liner (I think that's what it's called.) The weatherstripping is more rubber like material where as the garden bed liner is a tough rigid plastic. Use STRONG double sided tape and stick it to a metal strip that can be bent to the desired shape...

    what is this?

I've never understood people wanting to make their cars look like airplanes... Is it because they can't get a pilot's license?

    New Trim Pieces wtf?

A friend of mine ran into this same issue when she was trying to get some trim for her 87. It looks freakin sweet, but it definately doesn't match the original stuff...
