Yes, The 351 has a carb. It WAS the engine that was flooded....Car was not started until the next day. Which would allow time for the gas to get pass the rings...
none the less my question has yet to even get a comment close to what i am looking for.people love flames i guess.. O well.
Knew i left out something... He straight wired the fuel pump to move the car from one place to another in the yard...Forgot to disconnect the pump and left it on for a bit. Gas flooded the engine and got pass the rings into the oil pan,and he ran it after that not knowing it had happened. Could...
Okay here is the deal... I own a 1989 Supra Turbo white package. i took it off the road for a while when i got a speeding ticket. 111mph in a 65mph zone..Put it back on the road a few months latter. Drove it for a couple weeks and it developed a headgasket, and a rodknock...Along with a slipping...

So here is the story. I parked it at the begining of summer cause i got a wreckless driving ticket for going 111 in a 65,and lost my DL ofcourse. So after it sat all summer i got my DL back a few weeks ago and put it back on the road. When i parked it there was a small leak in the headgasket,and...
Is there any smoke when you step on it and notice the loss of power? Also i threw a turbo pressure code (turbo overboosting). Not sure if that does anything to the car as far as the ecu trying to let it drive without harming anything.
When it happened to me, i was at the track. 1st pass went...
Here we are after a couple hours. Engine was sitting outside in the weather for a few months.... hopefully i can get the cylinders cleaned out good. maybe i will get it honed?!
I will give him a call on the tsrm. Clevite better than ACL? Yea, i knew you had to do the number on the block and crank thing... dunno what i was thinking. probably gonna have eveything measured by the machinist im gonna send it to. Glad you said something about the timing plate im sure i would...
Dunno, there is no name or markings anywhere on it. I pulled the set off of a Honda i junked(where they all need to be) a while back. was gonna throw them on my SR powered 240,but im selling it to rebuild this engine.
Alrighty people its time to tear into this thing. My car is a 89' white package, turbo, 5spd. About a year ago my last engine developed a bad case of rod knock , so i snatched it out and threw another in along with the 5spd swap. Engine ran good when it was in the donor car. I did the not so...
Check for boost leaks. Could be heat soak. Same thing happened to me,found that the lower IC pipe had a nice long crack in it. Put a new one one and t went bye bye.
