Hi
I just got my Garrett GT4082 rebuilt and seem to have an exhaust leak between the turbine housing and the center bearing section. Is there spposed to be some kind of gasket between the two housings or am I doing something wrong?
Thanks for helping.
All you need is the code.
I would recommend taking the lock cylinder out and taking it to the dealership with you, and testing the key after they make it. It took about 10 min. to make 2 seperate keys last time I did this.
First: dont mount it directly to another cooler of any kind. I personally wouldnt mount it between the rad. and AC either. I used the old oil cooler and mounted it between the intercooler and radiator.
Second: Having an engine under cover will help keep the air going through the intercooler...
I routed my lines through the stock hanger using 90* 6AN fittings. I have a filter on the feed and return lines.

I am curious as to how far the 6an lines will get me before having to upgrade to 8 or 10an. Anyone know?
You can get SS braided lines from driftmotion that replace both the feed and drain lines.
If the leak is bad enough I guess it could lower your oil pressure.

You use both. The thin metal gasket goes between the manifold and the thick piece. The raised part of the "Thick piece" is what seals against the WG valve. Does that make sense?
Also, does the manifold aim the WG dump at the engine block or the frame instead of to the back of the car?

I am curious to see if anybody has run a turbo on one of these manifolds with out a spacer.
I'm running a GT40 and it wont even come close to fitting without a big spacer. I think I needed a bit more than 2".
Intercooler piping kinda depends on where your compressor outlet ends up...
I dont know about that car but here are 17"x10 +12 with 255/40 on the rear. Lowered on Eibach Pro's, no fender rolling, no rubbing, small negative camber.
Good reading, thanks.
I never understood single point slings, but it came with the rifle.
Just put a Kimber 8400 Advanced Tactical in .300WM on layaway. Took the shop 11 months to get after ordering. Opinions on Kimber rifles?
Picked up a used but great condition Smith and Wesson AR15 a couple days ago. Already got a Surefire M500A forend and a Blackhawk single point sling. The flip up sights are pretty useless (no elevation adjustment on rear sight) so I am looking to get a decent RDS.
What do you experts (or...
Empera is correct. The car had MSD wires on it when I bought it, and they dont fit with the coils on the right way.
(BTW Empera: still loving my cf shift boot)
I think this all comes back to you get what you pay for. You will most likely have to do some fabrication to make it fit.
I am with Keith on this one, my Do-Luck bolted right in. Couldnt be happier.
Now that my winter build is over I am having problems with code 14.
The ignition system is virtually unchanged with the exception of a wire tapped into the IGT signal wire for the MAFT Pro. I think I've pretty much ruled out the MAFT as the cause of the code. What I have tried thus far...
