Hey I have one of the ss manifolds with a 40-50mm hks wastegate flange and a 50mm nock off hks wastegate (yes im sure the not the best but thats not the issue atm)

What I want to know can I mount the wastegate on the manifold with the thin metal gasket that it comes with will that seat properly? or do I have to use the thicker one if so the bolts arent long enough anyone else had this issue?

heres pics of my prob

You use both. The thin metal gasket goes between the manifold and the thick piece. The raised part of the "Thick piece" is what seals against the WG valve. Does that make sense?

Also, does the manifold aim the WG dump at the engine block or the frame instead of to the back of the car?

the wg dump faces towards the fender with the thick seat in place the bolts are not long enough is the problem the piston on the inside is hard up and compressed agaist the flange atm so Iws wondering if that would creat a good enough seal.

Alterantive is pull the wastegate to bits so I can replace the bolts with longer ones ( which I didnt want to do)

It might seal, I am not sure though, you would have to try it.
