I found out that coolent is not flowing through the radiator when I look through the top of the radiator. The upper rad hose is hot and the lower is cool. Seems the thermostat is not opening. I...

    Question Reguarding my Recent Dyno

Were the cams shimmed properly when installed, cause the valves might not be closing all the way on the compression stroke. Also it is always a must to degree the cams with adjustable gears when using different cams especially with 272's-

    1jz intake trouble

Hey guys, I have my 1jz in my 74' datsun 260z that is just about done. The only issue is that their is no room to run an intake on this car and I basically have the filter mounted on the turbo. My question is that I won't have an intake tube with a fitting to suck out the crank case vapors to...

    74' 260z 1jz swap update--PICS!!

thanks guys, I am hoping for a touch over 500whp in the future, but I am probably going to run it on the street at about 400-450whp. Yes, they are stock aluminum drums in the rear. I am running Toyota 4 runner 4 piston front calipers which is plenty for my setup in a 2300lb car. Never would have...

    Opinions on SAFC

when I first put in my 440's, I was able to run them with no AFC corrections on my low throttle just fine, but when I went WOT then it went down to the sub 10's AFR and ran super pig rich.

HKS 264 cams on hand for 2jz! Now what?

that doesn't make much sense. The whole reason of adjustable cam gears is so that you can degree your aftermarket cams, or adjust your cams so that the valves are opening and closing at the most efficient time. Why would you go to stock gears with aftermarket cams when you cams come with a cam...

    which gauge to use

I love my Zeitronix wideband, as the software is easy to use and It also has a digital map sensor, digital egt, and is full datalogging compatable. Very nice for the price!!

    Mine's Tuned ECU problem (1JZ-GTE)

yah, I agree, buying a tuned ECU when you don't know the car it came out of, or the exact specs for sure is a gamble. It is probably setup for bigger injectors or something, so you should try to get your money back.

    nooo 1jz

1j'z don't use lifters, they use a bucket over the valve spring and shims to adjust the clearence. Check the shim clearence on your cams if the noise sounds like its right under the valve cover.

    Side feed injector damage

those look more like the stock 1jz injectors. My 440s that I had a while ago were a greyish/purple and had no yellow on them.
