Try "burping" the system once more with heater on full blast. Just like you said, there may be air pockets still in the system.

Count me in as I too have been searching for a factory lip, including Jdm model to no avail. I actually just talked to Ken about making me a lip but if this goes down I would much rather go this direction as everyone will benefit from it too

check timing too if you are able, along with the CPS.

unscrew oil cap. look under, does it like milk shake?

check the pins. sometimes they bend when inserting plug

just for the sake of testing run a wire from the negative side of the battery to the body/housing of the ignitor

be sure that the ignitor is bolted down with metal to metal contact.

iis there leaking of any coolant? did you check the hose in the back if the head to make sure the hose is clamped properly

what brand?
