Hey guys this thread is now a question and discussion thread for the "Sleeper Designs 13.5" MK3 Big Brake Kit (require 18" wheels)" Group Buy currently going on!

Ok here are the final specs and pictures of the what is being offered:

FIRST OFF THESE REQUIRE 18" OR BIGGER WHEELS TO CLEAR!

Kit Features:
-13.5" Drilled Rotors (You won't find another kit with rotors this big for anywhere near this price!)
-Large powder coated 4 piston calipers and pads
-Billet CNC aluminum mounting brackets
-Billet CNC aluminum centering rings
-SS lines
-All new zinc coated mounting hardware

Calipers will be available in two colors:
Black
Red

Optional colors $50 extra:
Gold
Ceramic Chrome

These calipers are re-manufactured units. They are from an LS400 so keeping the parts in the Toyota family. With that said the calipers are CNC'd down to fit properly on the MK3. Aftermarket pads are readily available for these calipers at almost any parts store!

Brake rotors are readily available aftermarket and part numbers will be provided with each kit!

Professional installation is highly recommended. Only modification required to the car is the removal of the heat shields. You can either disassemble the hub or simply trim the heat shields down. The SS lines are a direct replacement and reuse the factory clips. Pads will be a base ceramic pad with upgrades available.

I'm sure you're already aware that your benchmark for the budget BBK is the ARZ setup, so I might as well ask, how would it compare?

That said, good pricing point, but you've got your work cut out for you. :)

This is what I was going to ask. I just got another Supra and I want some better brakes something awful! Stock can't stop this beat the way it needs to be stopped!

What calipers and rotors?
What about 6 piston fronts?
Black rotors you said?
What about black hats?
And rear brakes with ebrake?

With that out of the way i am interested. Hoping to have bbk on by early next year at the latest and as of right now i was just going to use the arz kit.

Big Brake Kit interest?
The best part is the kit will be under $1000!!!

Should have pictures of a set by this weekend. Please let me know if there is interest in something like this as a production item.

Thanks,
Seth

That would be awesome

Not sure if you're ignoring this or what... Are you just trying to throw out an equivalent product or what do you have in mind? Andy's kit appears to have all nib name brand parts while your kit appears(please, correct me if I'm wrong) to have reman'd parts. Not trying to talk down on you at all man, just wondering how it's all stacking up.

Lol, relax dude. Hes just gauging interest. Sounds like hes not 100% on which parts hes going to use for the kit at this stage. Im sure there will be details once theyre decided. ;)
