When I was in germany a few years ago I purchased a 7MGTE from them ( Tiger Japanese ). 3 of the 6 cylinders had intake valves seized open. But they claimed to have compression tested it. They never took my calls again after that.
Drain the tank.....there is a drain plug on the bottom to make it very easy. As far as the pump hanger goes.....Those are around 150 I think if not higher and there are like 12 left in the world according to Toyota. I might have a spare kicking around though.
On my 2J, there are 3 water line outlets that I am having a problem staying plugged. I have been using the rubber hose plugs to go over the line openings but with the pressure and heat they are quickly drying out and getting pin holes that leak BAD. I am wondering if I cut the line fittings down...
