Appearance wise AND performance wise you'll be better off with a front facing intake manifold. You cut out about 3+ feet of intake piping with a FFIM. Stock is of course, cheaper ;)
Make sure your idle enrichment setting is off (dip switch 3 off), that was giving me ALL kinds of trouble tuning it for a good idle. The moment I switched it off, I could actually control the idle A/F.
On the underside of your intake manifold, between runners 3&4.. Its fastened to the manifold by 2 bolts and attached to a hard fuel line with a banjo bolt.

Remove the cold start injector and clean it thoroughly.... Night & day difference in cold starts assuming its still working! Use carb cleaner and a brush to scrub all the carbon and crap off the injector.
At idle the minimum is 4.7psi... A little over 40psi during driving is nothing to worry about, theres plenty of people here running shimmed pumps and 70+ psi at 3k rpm's.
I'd go with a yes on this since many (including myself) have been running the MAFT in blow-thru which requires the ISC to be plumbed after the MAF in a pressurized section of the intake...
This happened to me recently, it ended up being the throttle linkage on top of the valve covers that was the culprit! There is a plastic "bushing" type washer at the top of the post on which everything pivots -- on mine this had crumbled off and was allowing the linkage "stop tabs" to go past...
One is by summit, the other by perma-cool. They both work equally well in our application and I am unaware of any difference other than their brand name.
