I think you might just have to cut out some of the bracing on the underside of the hood. Im alright with doing that. For the most part im just trying to figure out which looks better. They will both function the same.

if i ever got the cusco one i whould make it tri bar cause that whould be freeking pimp

So in order to use the TRD bar, you have to turn it 180 degrees? Do you have to modify the hood at all or was I correct earlier in saying you have to remove some of the hood bracing?

Neither the TRD or Cusco does anything on our cars. (We do not have a typcial strut front suspension, so there is nothing to be gained.)

If you want to make some gains, you need to tie the strut towers to the fire wall/cowl area. (That will make a large difference in how much the vehicle flexes.)

The TRD bar does NOT bolt on, no matter which way you turn it. It requires a good amount of cutting/welding/repowdercoating. It's really not worth it, just get the cusco bar and enjoy putting it on in five minutes.
