1984 k-car.

Except mine was a four door and a total POS, but it never did die on me ever. Felt like it had all of 23 HP. Make that ground shaken gerbil wheel burning 23 HP!

I had a 3-door Ford Escort Bonus 90 on a G-plate that i paid £50 for down my local pub when i was 18 (had previously driven my mums 1986 VW Passat), the drivers door handle didn't work, so i had to get in the passenger side. It had a blown head gasket, mayo in the engine instead of oil and i didn't have the key for the fuel tank (it was 1/2 full), but drove me around for a week for less than the cost of a travelcard before i did something monumentally stupid, and tried to drive it home after inhaling 7-8 pints of strong belgian lager, stacked it into a tree at 50mph, walked away without a scratch and walked home the rest of the way. Found it in the wrecking yard about a month later while i was after parts for my NEXT car - a 1986 Ford Sierra XR4x4 - big AWD V6 hatchback - mmmm....grunty!

Mine was a 66 Ford Rustang with a gutless inline 6 with a hole in the hood. Friends always laughed that it was a bullet hole. I had plans for it but decided I didn't want it anymore and sold it.

I had a 1991 Subaru Loyale station wagon, It was my mom's old car and it was free. It had 4 wheel drive, and was oxidized red. I wrecked that fucker a couple times, hack sawed a front end off of one at pick-n-pull and welded it onto mine, I was pretty much on a first name basis with the guys at the local wrecking yard for a while. Eventually the MAF sensor went out and it wouldn't pass smog, but I sold it to some strange looking tweaker for 300 cash, all in all not a bad deal.

1994 Chevy Cavalier 4 door 2.2 auto. Ahh, to be so naive enough to drive a car like that and enjoy it again. Damn Supras have spoiled me.

In the Cav's defense, the thing caught air pretty good...

1993 240sx Hatch..

picked it up for $800, it looked great and handled like no other, but a new thing broke atleast once a week..

sold it to my best friend for $800 (after I put $2000+) who put a few hundred into it, and it ran great for a year, but then his brother crashed it, and he sold it for $1000 to some kid..

good riddance..!

I bought a 1977 Ford Pinto for $50. There was so much rust in the fuel tank that it would plug the fuel filter every 50 miles or so, and I'd have to pull over, remove the filter, wash it out with methyl hydrate, and put it back in. As I recall it was painted sky blue with a roller and brush, too.

1988 midnight blue toyota supra turbo 5spd. I didn't even know how to drive a stick when i bought that car. I bought it for myself on my 18th birthday, I wish I would've kept that car.

A Pinto! Dude, could you not have just let someone lightly bump into your car from the back to have solved the entire problem with the rusty gas tank!? (They were the car notorious for exploding on minor rearend collisions were they not? Or is it the Gremlin that I am thinking of, or Pacer? Damn now I really don't know anymore)

You're absolutely right. Worse, the frames were so weak that the doors would jam closed at the same time. Luckily, I was never in an accident in that car, because if I was, and I survived, I'd probably still be in the burn ward now, some 25 years later.

my first car was my moms old 90 buick Lesabre Custom. It was super nice back in 98 when we got it with 45,000 miles on it. But by 2005, it was a pos. THe rear quarters were super rusty, and something brokeevery week on that car. Eventually the motor (3.8l) threw a rod on the highway. SO me and my dada rebuilt it, and it that lasted a week. SO we swapped a sereies 2 3800 from a 98 lesabre, that lasted a few months and then the ecu went out, so i scrapped it.
