I'm going to buy some tires really soon for my stock saws. I was thinking of getting 245/45/16 all around. Would they fit nicely. Or should i just stick to the stock 225/50/16?
245/50/16 would set off speedo too since it changes the overall diameter of the tire/wheel if I'm not mistaken...supramike7m said:putting a 245/45/16 will set your speedometer off. just go with 245/50/16
The middle number (50 in this case), isn't a measurement, it's a percentage of the tire width. Stock tirewidth = 225mm. Stock tire = 225/50/16. 50% of 225 = 112.5mm. The one he was talking about is 245/50/16. 50% of 245 = 122.5mm.billspreston01 said:nope, 50 sidewall on a 16" tire is the same diameter as stock just wider.

Jeff Lange said:I wouldn't go wider than 225's on sawblades, not because they won't fit or your speedo will be off (neither of which are true), but because you will have a lot of sidewall roll, and IMO 225 is about the widest to go on a 7" rim, in fact it's on the limit IMO.
I run 195's on my 7" wide rims on my Corolla, and think they look just about right, 225 is on the limit IMO.
All of mine have measured at 7.5.swaq said:I believe sawblades are actually 7.5" wide (even though they say 7"). I could be wrong though.
