What size tires should I put on saws?

I'm going to buy some tires really soon for my stock saws. I was thinking of getting 245/45/16 all around. Would they fit nicely. Or should i just stick to the stock 225/50/16?

I thought side wall depends on the width of the tire. Thats what I read thats why i went down on the size of the wall.

putting a 245/45/16 will set your speedometer off. just go with 245/50/16
245/50/16 would set off speedo too since it changes the overall diameter of the tire/wheel if I'm not mistaken...

We'll I was messing with a tire calcualtor and go these numbers.
225/50R16 : 24.85 in 631.19 mm
245/50R16 : 25.64 in 651.25 mm
245/45R16 : 24.68 in 626.87 mm

So the diameter of the 45 wall is closer to stock.

nope, 50 sidewall on a 16" tire is the same diameter as stock just wider.
The middle number (50 in this case), isn't a measurement, it's a percentage of the tire width. Stock tirewidth = 225mm. Stock tire = 225/50/16. 50% of 225 = 112.5mm. The one he was talking about is 245/50/16. 50% of 245 = 122.5mm.

I wouldn't go wider than 225's on sawblades, not because they won't fit or your speedo will be off (neither of which are true), but because you will have a lot of sidewall roll, and IMO 225 is about the widest to go on a 7" rim, in fact it's on the limit IMO.

I run 195's on my 7" wide rims on my Corolla, and think they look just about right, 225 is on the limit IMO.

i ran 245/45/16's for a while before i got the TT wheels. they fit fine, there is some sidewall roll, but unless you plan on road racing or auto-x, it is fine and u probably wont even notice. also, i went with 45's instead of 50 because it is closer to stock, supramike and billpreston don't understand what they are talking about. mine were yoko avs es100's.

you could also try 225's up fron and 245's out back.

i ran some 245/45/16 back in the day, toyo t1 proxes.... i loved it but they wore out quick.

anyhow you won't have any problems.... and the rolling diameter is nearly identical, much better then 245/50/16.

I believe sawblades are actually 7.5" wide (even though they say 7"). I could be wrong though.

I run 245-50/16's on my sawblades, Goodyear says this is a perfect size for our rims. The earlier comments about sidewall roll is not roll accurate since on my combination the sidewall is pulled in a bit unlike most peoples combinations putting the sidewall laying outward allowing an easy sidewall puncture. I have not seen any sidewall roll and they wear perfectly even over the life of the tire. I can't imagine running anything narrower or wider on stock rims. I did pick up a little better milage since my tires are a bit taller that stock size. I like that plus, and they fit the wheel wells better.

I had some 245/50/16's to go on my stock rims. Took them to the tire shop.Took them two hours to tell me they couldnt get them on right.I took them back to the store, and got 225's,and the same thing happened. So i had my dad take my car to a different shop.Would u believe it samething, he said the whole shop had to take a whirl at getting them on.Goodluck.Must be a sawblade thing
