that's not a bad deal. not sure if you will have to replace the clips though. some injectors are plug-n-play. i have fic injectors, and i had to replace the clips. i think they were like $35 for all six clips.

got my car running after my flat bed trip the other night. found a random wire under the intake had grounded itself out and blew the 15a fuse. i think it went to the vsv that's long gone now. :)
of course now the car is idling low and wants to stall, but "new" motor is being worked on as we speak. :)

Took it to my old job to inspect under the car. I've dragged raced it a bit and do checks every month or two to make sure things are good and found....

Installed catcan, new jza70 p/s reservoir, found a massive boost leak on a lower coupler due to tbolt clamp failure (threads stripped) temp fix is two worm clamps til friday, flushed trans (now it shifts better but think 4th gear syncro is bad as it grinds under full boost and fast shifting, oil change and went with Royal Purple 10w30 over the mobile 1 i had in there with a good filter, adjusted IACV in my aem to correct the bouncy idle i got when installing the catch can.

Had a relatively productive day, folowed by a brain fart.

Installed my downpipe, with a plug in the wideband O2 sensor bung. I had the bung welded at what would be the front of the cat, right behind the tail of the transmission. It's a bit further forward than I thought that it would be, but still in a good position.

Got the BOV installed again, got the upper IC pipe installed. PCV system set up, AFM installed, filter installed on it, bracket for the PS reservoir made up.

After getting all that installed, I had to hear it run, so I started it... And shut it down immediately when I remembered that I haven't installed an oil filter. Just long enough to make a dinner plate sized puddle under the front of the car.

Tomorrow morning, I change the oil, permanently mount the filter mount, top up the coolant and PS fluid, and take her for a drive.

At least you caught it quickly. That could have been bad...

Yeah, that could have precipitated a much earlier start on swapping in the built block than I had originally wanted.

This is phase 1. Phase 2 is installing the AVC-R, Neo, and zeitronix wideband electronics. Stage 3 will be the built engine block.

I thought that I had an exhaust manifold leak, so I popped under the hood this morning, and the plug that I had in the exhaust manifold where the EGT sensor is going to go fell out.

So, I needed something to plug a hole meant for an EGT sensor... And an EGT sensor. The solution seemed obvious.

Radiator hose went last night at 1:30am driving home. Luckily was only 3 mins from my shop. Replacing a bunch of old hoses now to be safe. More angry about the cleanup I need to do to my engine bay more then anything. 1378311027285.jpg
