I'll try to find a camera this weekend or the chord to my iphone so I can post one. I'd hate to break the rules. I've heard the moderators on this site can be real pricks at times.

You can download the photobucket app and automatically upload photos from your phone to your photobucket account.

Then use the img link to post them.

7M - so 6000 rpm redline and 3.91 gears out back (originally a 1990 GE, but I put in a pre 89 LSD and a higher compression GTE and R154. Also it has 215/50 R17s on it (nearly the exact same circumference as 225/50 R16s) so the Rev limiter in 5th is 161. That is.. if the gear ratio calculator is correct. So far, it has been.
1JZ, 72xx redline, 3.73 rear, and 275/40/17 tire. 4th goes a looooooong ways. 5th with just a bit more revs (or taller tire) would take it over 200. ;)

Quick question, can you lower the MK3 while keeping TEMS?
Yes, but for the price of a set of springs and shocks, a new set of coilovers is only a bit more $... and then you have a good bit of adjustability at your fingertips. :)

On that note, I wish someone would hurry up and design an adaptation of GM's magnetic rhetorical (or whatever they're called) shocks for the Supras. They're basically TEMS, but 15 years further developed. :D

Who watches the watchmen, anyway? :p

As for me... the pile of parts will be growing bigger soon, much to my wallet's chagrin. I'll upload some pics in a few weeks I suppose.

I can't remember exactly, but I was on the dyno last month and it seems like I was giong about 160ish in fourth during my pulls. I have the 3.73's with a 275/45/17.

Given a 3.727 differential, and assuming that 4th is 1:1, if you revved to 7,200 RPM, 225/50R16 tires would be at 142mph. A 3.909:1 differential would bring that down to 136mph.

AFAIK, the A70 came with 4 different rear end gears. Lowest to highest:

4.300:1 came in the NAs of all years. Some limited slip, some not.

4.100:1 came in the JZA70 TTR trim level, Torsen limited slip.

3.909:1 came in the '87-'88 MA70 turbos.

3.727:1 was the tallest, and came in the '89-'92 turbos.

7500 rpm in fourth (1:1) with 275/45 R17 tires with 3.727 gears is 160

Sent from my terrible HTC Rezound using Tapatalk. Don't buy HTC...

Revving how high? I could see 140, possibly 150 in fourth given the correct rpm

All I can tell you is what the dyno showed.

Back on topic ;) I picked up another Supra today. 87 7mgte. I haven't decided what I am going to do with it yet, but I just couldn't pass it up for the price I paid.
