Well, i finally sold my Altima. I'm gonna apply $2,000 towards paying off my credit card and $1,000 towards a coilover kit. And possibly the Suspension Techniques sway bar kit if i feel like spending a little extra.

Now, I am interested in the Megan and the TEIN kits.

Megan track spec coilover kit
TEIN super street kit

I know thw TEIN can be electronically controlled, but i have to spend another $350 for that.

Would it be better to just get KYB AGX front and KYB GR2 rear then lowering springs. Then i can get the sway bar kit and be at or under $1,000. Then spend the other $300 on a racing radiator or better rotors and pads. Specifically the kit 935 has. The $400 kit.

I want to drift a little, go to a track... not just drag but actual road course. I know there is a track in Savannah GA that is suppossed to be safe for amatures, so we don't hit anything, lol

Before i start putting the 2JZ in, I'd like to have a solid suspension system. I just bought a custom short shifter from ebay, the guy said he's been using it for a few years and he loves it, hopefully it works out great.

I just want to see if anybody has any personal experience with these two products. I'm sure both are great and worth the money, both are same price too.

If i get AGX front, GR2 rear... then i can get a sway bar kit, lowering springs, aluminum radiator and rotors, SS brake lines and pads for about $1,200. But i lose the performance of the coilover kit, or would i not notice it?

megans only come in the track flavor.. they're a stiff spring rate

I have the tein HA coilovers on my car, they're quite nice. I've only had the HKS coilovers before and they're much better then those imo. They're nice and firm but comfortable to drive on the street (my car is my DD). I havn't really raced around much though, but they seemed to give the car a lighter feeling. My HKS coilovers didn't change the feeling as much as the teins did.

I've got the Tein SS setup and so far I'm happy with them. Not too harsh and I use my car as a DD.

I've got the JIC SF1. They're on my DD but probably better suited for the track; little harsh. Maybe you can check them out and see how they feel.

Based on the 2 you listed I would probably get the Teins. I have HA's and I like them. If they were a tad stiff I would love them so much more haha. SS's actually have stiffer spring rates so they should get the job done drifting and road racing once in a while. And I have done drifting and some open track days and HA's have served me well.

man i hope it wasn't that SOGI mod! lol

The Supra sport Short shifter is what you want. Increase the fulcrum length but no lose the leverage point.

I have the Megans and they are very nice for the price. I like that they have a pillowball top with them and they are 32 way adjustable. The quality is very good too.

so the height and stiffness are adjustable... the pillow mounts is what i like better than the TEIN that uses the stock mount

Yup megans are pretty good. Only down fall I have seen is the rear not getting low enough. But that shouldn't be an issue for most people.

Yeah yours is odd.. hahaha. But every one else is having issues with it now going low enough. Do you have a bunch of stuff it back of the car or something?
