Holy crap! I figured they'd be scratched a little or a slight indent but that looks pretty bad! Thankfully the worse side goes toward the head.

Yup, but there's no distortion to the inner surface, or the plane of the mounting face.
And thus, no affect(wobble) on the plane of rotation of the belt face.

Finished the suspension up about 5 months ago.

Stage 2 is nothing but drivetrain- engine and transmission, and also the ac system.

Welcome to minutiae of my build.
The truly exciting stuff...

Almost done rebuilding my throttle body. For those just tuning in, I had torn one of the two throttle shaft seals when I took it apart.
So I purchased another throttle body online in order to obtain exactly ONE throttle shaft seal. They are not available(to my knowledge) anywhere new, so this was my solution. The good thing is, that it was a super cheap, and included the TPS, so I can resell that on Ebay, and pretty much get the throttle body for free.
Here it is, in all its re-zinc'ed glory:

I say i'm almost done rebuilding this thing, because I need to replace the two screws that hold the throttle plate in the shaft. It's hard to tell from the above pic due to the angle, but the two m3.5x.6x6mm screws have very large heads to them, a good bit larger than the originals. It was a serious PITA trying to locate some m3.5 button heads, but now they're on their way from China. Also, I need to pick up a couple of m4 washers for the new screws that will hold the TPS on.

Yes, I know. NONE of this crap will make it go faster. In fact, MOST of this crap won't even be visible once it's all installed.
I'm telling you this because I know I have a sickness...

And to prove it, here is something new I just picked up-

Fuji-loc flange nuts. I never knew this type of fastener existed; It has a small spring plate pressed into the top of the nut, that puts tension on the threads of the bolt/stud once it engages them, acting as a lockwasher, without requiring a base split washer or a serrated flange, both of which cause gouging in the aluminum.
I know I'm going to regret focusing on such trivial crap, but some of you out there will get it.

Today I dropped the intake assembly off at the machine shop so they could clean it all out.
I was just too lazy to do it myself. :)

I received new filters for my 680's in the mail today, so I'll probably clean up the injectors and install the filters tonight.
Ordered new spark plugs(Bosh super plus 7955's), and all three accessory belts. Say- when the hell did belts get so expensive?
Paid like $45 for those things. Dayco, with 3yr warranty.

Also, just received two ecu's from mark1987supra, and I'll test them in a few days on a friend's car. Wanted a backup ecu. or two.

Lately I've been just putting out small fires around the motor, so to speak.
Finally fitted the tps to my throttle body, and adjusted it to spec. ALOT easier when it's off the car.

You know that nasty, pointless, "put-a-rubber-cap-on-me-and-i'll-blow-it-off-when-you-least-expect-it" coolant nipple on the back of the motor?
The one that nobody in America needs? Decided to cut it off and have it welded shut. There's just no reason for it.

Once it's welded(hopefully tomorrow), I'll media blast it and either paint it or powdercoat it.

Also, I want to use -AN lines for my fuel supply to the rail, but I really didn't want to get rid of the benefits of the fuel pulsation dampner.
So I found this:

2013-02-27_21-53-11_395_zpsab392f25.jpg
It's a 14mm - 6an banjo adapter. Fits right on the rail, and even includes both properly sized crush washers(the two are different sizes from each other).
Now I can have my cake and pulsation-dampen it too.

Yes.
I had myself checked once, but I thought i was mis-diagnosed. So I walked counterclockwise around the doctor's office 3 times and had myself checked again
