So I decided today was a "pamper the Supra" day... This morning I washed and waxed her, cleaned and Armor All'd the interior, then went out and picked up some SYLVANIA SilverStars to replace the crappy OEM headlamps and foglights (color me impressed!) So, here's my Amethyst Metallic in all her glory (so far)!!

*WARNING* Tons of pics follow!!!

All of the "SilverStar" pics were taken with low beams except the last one.

I've also begun working on my car audio, but I'll save that for a diffent thread and when I get further along (I'm taking my time and doing it as I'm bored).

Enjoy!

PS--> The trim pieces that surround the door locks are not missing, I am leaving them off 'till I'm through removing the door panels, as the clips break very easily (I still have them in perfect shape). So I apologize for that "flaw".

I also have larger pics if desired (2048x1536).

Yup, never had any body work / paint... I initially suspected that it had been painted due to the condition, but I can't find any signs of over-spray or anything else leading me to believe it has. The previous owner also claimed it had never been painted, and that it had been garage kept 'till 4 years ago.

Here's one more exterior shot that has kinda grown on me (although it came out a bit dark)...

Your car looks brand new. A very nice and clean factory appearance. Are those 89+ seats? Now you just need to strip the paint off of those sawblades. I can only hope my 87 will look as good as yours.

Thanks man. Nope, they are the original seats (they went from vinyl to cloth in '88). Right now the car is pretty much bone stock with the exception of the stuff in my signature and a bit of audio (in process).

Regarding the wheels, I plan to do away with the sawblades (keep them as winter wheels) and get a quality set of lightweight 17" (or possibly 18") aftermarkets (yet to be determined).

Thanks for the comments guys!

Good STUFF, James!

...your interior reminds me of my '87 N/A white... which I gave to my wife for Valentine's Day the year I talk her in to letting me buy the "T"... I still remember that day... less than 21k miles on the clock!!! And she was FIVE years OLD! (...the CAR... not the WIFE! Long story...)

Can you come clean mine now?

I'll tell ya what... I'll clean yours 12 times a year if you get mine running 400rwhp! Hell, I'd even settle for 350!

Shouldn't be too difficult though, the plates already give me a stable 14lbs boost at 4200rpm:icon_razz

HEY! Whaddya' know... I sprouted a spare hybrid outa my engine bay...

I think this one is good for 350-380 at about a bar... (I had to "grind down" the lip a little... pretty rough work back then! ...but I'm pretty sure it works. TEC balanced with H3 trim...)

That is probably the cleanest pre-89 supra I have ever seen. Everything is perfect!

Please keep it stock, and DO NOT strip the sawblades!! lol It's almost impossible to find sawblades that still have intact silver paint on them.

Thanks guys, I really appreciate the comments!!:icon_bigg

As for keeping her stock... It's rough, and I'm certainly torn... I'm in love with her natural beauty and it's so hard to find these in this condition (physical and running)... She's not a "virgin" any more as is, but thus far she's simply "improved" (the HKS MHG and ARP Studs were necessary preventative measures, and they were installed correctly... the A'PEXi Power Intake is a simple upgrade to allow her to breath a bit easier, and the Bosch BOV replaced the crappy shot stocker). I'm ensuring that I damage NOTHING while completing my audio installation (including no carpet cuts or holes), and that no trim pieces, bolts, etc... are lost or damaged... Even my install will be as "stock" as possible (hence my usage of the newer 6" speaker pods)...

But then there's my craving for power... I have all this potential in my hands, and. . . I would really like to do BPUs for her just to get her... fun? Well, MORE fun... There's nothing like cruising with the top off, definitely gets attention... But I enjoy an occasional boost....

If I DO upgrade, I keep all factory parts, so I'd always be able to restore... I don't plan to do anything EXTREME that cannot be reverted...

I'll have to think about it all and weigh my options...

Well if feel that you have to go modding it, don't fuck with the looks. You don't see such nice factory appearences like yours very often. It doesn't seem like people appreciate the stock look of Supras. Leave it original, no big ass lips or wings that make it look like a ricer. If you want to do all that then sell yours to ME and then go buy a beater somewhere to destroy.

Very sweet ride!!! I agree with everyone else dont touch a thing it is perfect as is. If you get the mod itch then buy another one in not such great shape and mod away. An unmolested Supra at this point is probibly as rare as a unicorn....lol. If we ever have a ROTM again you had better enter. We have only had one previous winner on sawblades, its time for another????

Oh HELLLLL No!!! Dude, I will CERTAINLY NOT touch the body!!!

ANY mods I do will strictly be PERFORMANCE (quality parts), and ONLY bolt-ons!!!

Guys, you have no need to worry about me ricing it out or doing any body work at all... It took me waaay too long to find one in this condition, and I sought it out for its beauty and drivability! I will keep it that way!
