Leak testing the fab'd pan:

Making this pan was a PITA. Almost wish I had paid the $$$ to get it CNC'd

Painted the pan with wrinkle coat, installed on the spare engine and test fit it.

I'm using a bellhousing from a Hummer H3. It bolts the 4200 to any of Aisin's AR5 or R series transmissions. Prior to this swap, I had replaced the R154 from the Supra with an AR5 from a Pontiac Solstice. So now, the entire drivetrain will be MY2006 "GM".

Is the hummer bellhousing different from the Colorado/Canyon bellhousing?

What parts of the clutch are GM and what are Toyota and what vehicles do they naturally come in? What differential are you using?

Awesome! Not really much more to say. Glad you know what you're doing and got an 06 engine due to the earlier ones having issues with the head and misfires and etc... Should be a fun car even N/A!

Not that I know of. The hummer one is just the one that I happened to find cheap.

It's going to be all GM, as I'm running a solstice transmission. It's basically a stock setup from a Colorado I5 with a custom machined flywheel. The newer hummer has a slightly larger disk, but I didn't want to pay the $$$ for it.

If you were doing this swap with an R154, you'd just sub in the biggest toyota clutch disk you could find (I think Landcruiser).

The diff is the stock 3.9 lsd.

Yah that's diy-efi over on the trailvoy forums. He's very bright and is really innovating with these 4.2 engines. Last I heard his turbo 4.2 was running 350 HP without VVT...or the turbo :aigo:

Got the entire thing: engine, accessories, PCM, harness - for $850.
What a steal It has something like 23k miles on it.

Pilot bearing pushed in. The stock colorado piece fits fine.
