Ok, first thing is to convert the thing to rear sump. Here's the girdle getting tapped for an extended oil pickup:

They have snuggled in bed together for a few years now, although that just ended. Ever hear about the Pontiac Vibe - Toyota Matrix?

The 5cyl's use a rear sump and can be used on the I6s after being extended 4" or so. Here's the stock 5 cyl piece cut:

I brazed it back up rather than welding. Welding can cause problems by weakening the surrounding metal. STIs have had problems with their tubes breaking, running the engines dry and grenading. Didn't want that to happen so....
