ok just drove it home from my friends house. it had me very worried. for the first 3 minutes it was idling very low, and it was stuttering and stuff when i would try to accelerate. btu after 3 minutes, it ran perfect! hopefully no more problems.

thanks guys!

I'd hazard a guess and say that the stuttering your motor was doing was from trying to ignite a water/coolant mixture within your combustion chamber. Once it finally evaporated, and thus steam cleaned your piston for you, nearly free of charge, the motor began running more normally.

Is this your DD? Park it regardless before you are left on the side of the road in BFE.

Get your temp gauge fixed, you'll find most likely that you are spiking it.

Watch your coolant level, check for a milkshake under your oil cap. If you find oil in the coolant or vice/versa. stick a fork in it. Although, a compromised HG doesn't always breach at a coolant jacket. ;)

yup its my DD. and that gauge is def gettign fixed lol. i just had the HG replaced so hopefully that isnt going to be a problem. i will be careful though. i have a mechanic that specializes in supras that will be installing arp headstuds in a few weeks. he is swamped right now but i will have him take a look at it when he can.

Hint - for the temp gauge, make sure it's plugged into the sensor (and that it's the right sensor) on the thermostat housing.

i was going to have a very difficult time responding with something worthwhile until you posted that. so thanks!
