Premium is $2.39 still here in Middle TN...so i am not complaining....

as long as i keep on making some money i am fine with it.....the oil company workers and managers have to live too you know...

Working on an oil rig is the most dangerous job i believe. Saw that on TLC.
So they earn my $2.39 a gallon in that perspective.

I feel if you make your self bitch and curse at the prices while at the pump, it will make your life that much more miserable, think about how many gas station signs you see on your way to work ( for the most part of us that live in cities)......man, thats a pretty bad day eh?

I "only" have to pay $5.64 a gallon for premium.... haha. in the UK it's even more expensive at the moment.
but since I'm living near my workplace, I only have to fill up about once a month.

other than that, I completely agree with lanky....

I fill up twice a week. I hate payin this much, but I haven't taken any steps to reduce my consumption of gas, so I don't bitch about having to buy it.

I usually can go 4 of the 6 days I haveta drive before fill ups, I don't bitch (much) about having to buy it, what gets me is when it goes up 6+ cents per gal. overnight. 10+ cents in ~a week. There is just no call for that kind of price spike.
I would have to agree with those that think it is a conspiracy, but I think they're working on the public, to get approval to drill in areas where they currently cannot.

the price spikes are alot. but they apparently are not too much, or the public would quit buying it.... I don't see alot of SUV's for sale in the used car lots...or in the classifieds...people still don't care...

I understand what you are saying, but catch this drift. Its not necessarily the barrel prices that is causing it to go up like it is. I 100% believe what a lot of people are saying.

1) It's our government taxing the fuck out of the fuel like they have been for ages.

2)Its car companies paying oil companies to raise the barrel price for the sake of hybrids. (You know car companies are paying out the nose for this type of payoff, but the oil companies know hybrids wont catch one big for years to come. They understand the meaning of min. wage poverty and how most won't be able to afford a new car right now.)

3)On top of the car company pay-offs, oil companies raise the fuel price more anyway.

4)Gas stations are not in the price war stages like they used to be in, some still do, but most don't care.

So as you see there is a lot of crap between the oil company, and the consumer, and prolly alot I have not listed as well. Also, the oil workers are getting paid decent, that is why they have unions working for them.

Cass: Here it goes up 10c a litre usually every second weekend (about 38c a gallon) then goes back down.

$2.47 in Olympia Washington, I think it was Exxons whos profits last quarter was the most that any company in the world has ever made in one quarter, something like $60 billion. Plus making auto manufactures increase new car gas mileage by 1mpg for each car would make up for any differences in drilling in Alaska plus it would be right now instead of 10 years down the road. Or 2.7mpg and remove all depedancy on middle east oil.

2.30 here in city 2.20 out of city boston.
want to know why we pay alot for gas. next time you go to work or what not count how many suv's pass by and count how many ppl are in it. thats why we pay so much.
on my day off last week i was at a dunkin donuts to get a coffe and while their 5 suv 2 trucks and 1 compact car pulled in in each car their where only 10 customers me not included. that is why gas is so high.
