Quick question, how many miles do you guys get from a full tank of gas? I'm no stranger to gas guzzlers, but mine seems to be getting through an awful lot, I'm wondering if I have an overfuelling issue. From brimming, as in, top of the filler neck pouring out the top, needle into the text on the fuel guage, I'm lucky to get 200 miles from a tank of fuel, and I'm really not driving like I stole it, I've boosted a few times, but it's by far and away moderate driving, some on motorway with cruise.

Thanks for any replies :icon_bigg

I get (typically) 17ish miles / gal around town, and 22 - 23 miles / gal on the freeway. I'm not running anything too crazy over stock. 200 miles out of a tank seems awefully low. Hope it helps.

I had a lot of mileage lost when my stock bypass valve was stuck open. Replacing it got me to ~17 in town, ~24 on the freeway.

I'm not sure what I get in town, because I usually drive it hard and the gas seems to go away fast. On the freeway, with the cruise set at 70-75mph I get 28mpg.

Day to day driving I get about 280 - 300 miles out of a tank, my car has 3" turbo back, walbro pump, AFPR @ 26psi (vac on) MAFT pro and running about 14psi everything else is pretty much stock.

On the last trip i took with my car (which was a few years ago mind you) I got around 425 miles out of a tank. IIRC this was on stock fuel.

Best: 29.4MPG (US) or 8L/100km
Worst: 11.7MPG (US) or 20L/100km

Average highway: 24.7MPG (US) or 9.5L/100km
Average city: 21.4MPG (US) or 11L/100km

To get the best milage I drove like a granny to church on sunday, to get the worst I drove like a madman. Average is a pleasant median between the two extremes. Mods are 3" turbo back exhaust, boost at 12psi, stock fuel and management.

I never went off my SM when I had my 86.5. It was always lower than what I actually calculated and this was even on a stock fuel system. But yeah, the SM is only good for reading codes.

My sisters 82 L-Type had a "Trip Computer" and it was always spot on with the mpg.

New O2 sensor would be a good start,(decent quality one).
I was getting 250-300 max out of my 1G and 250 from the 7m, at a steady 75 i was getting upto 28mpg.

BTW the US gallon is smaller than a UK one, just for reference,

btw who buys a 3lt turbo gt car for for Gas mileage, LOL
