I was dreaming about the oil pump/ pressure issue and remember that the jz was originally front sump not rear sump. Jordan changed the pan to rear sump... Is there anything that was needed to be done "internally" to make the rear sump pan work? I'd imagine there's a difference between the front sump pick up line and the rear pick up line?

If he still has the original front sump set up "internally" then it may not be sucking up the oil because the oil pan the pick up line would be sitting in is now in the rear?

there may not even be a pick up screen installed. sucks the machine shop didn't mention this before that possibly the oil pick up line was now on the wrong side and won't fit with the new pan setup , they should pay atleast for a new pick up line since they didn't catch it and possibly installed everything with no pick up line at all!!! especially when Jordan told them if they needed anything (parts or whatever) to call him so he can order it.

just called toyota to price a 98 tt supra oil pick up line and gasket. $61.50 and it would be here tomorrow if ordered today. JORDAN GET YOUR ASS TO PRECISION AND ORDER THAT SHIT!!!

Albert is correct, we won't know until we take the pan off and see whats going on.. i'm going on based on the jz started life as front sump and jordan bought only the rear sump pans and had the machine shop install it. unless they bought a new one and installed or modified the original pick up line in there to work witht he new set up, i believe this is where our problem lies. I almost want to have the Machine shop take it apart and install so we don't void an "warranty" their labor may have.
as much as we cranked it to try to prime the system and not getting a single drop out of the turbo feed line or at the oil filter, it's either not lubed up or no pick up line. currently these are (plausible) speculations until confirmed

BTW i'm sure Jordan is getting these notifications but not sure if he's read these posts and i haven't been able to talk to him about what i think is going on yet as he is still at work. i want to see if the machine shop advised him of the pick up issue? did he buy a rear sump pick up line when he bought the oil pan?

yes it is. so assuming the pick up line was installed after all. whyare we having this much trouble priming the system? Jordan's on his way to the Machine to talk to them. we'll go from there.
So just left the machine shop.
The owner (Larry) told me if the car is all put together just to have it towed down to the machine shop and they would take care of it. He said he has a pump that he made that will hook up to the oil pressure line and pump oil through the system.

i dont remember any pics with the front timing covers off. could they have possibly routed the timing belt wrong, or maybe the belt slipped off the oil pump pulley? i mean its only a theory but if the oil pump isnt "pumping" maybe the t-belt isnt driving it... food for thought.
