so i got a call from the alignment shop today. i brought my car down yesterday to get an anlignement done so i could put on my mkiv rims and falken's. apparently, they got the rear cams loose, enough to get the camber almost perfect on both sides. (like 3/4* out on one side).
the fronts are totally seized. i guess i'm going to have to try to replace them. my plan thus far: soak the hell out of them with PB blaster, and take an air gun to them at 100psi. i don't care about the tires on there, so i also don't care if they get ruined driving back to the shop. i just have to find a way to get them out.
also, they mentioned that many of the bushings on the car are starting to rip out/dry rot, which i knew. none are bad enough YET to be replaced, but chances are, after my turbo upgrade (which i technically shouldn't do until i get this all sorted out) i'm sure i'll trash them with 400hp.
i'm going to look for a polyurithane bushing kit, and if it costs me an arm and a leg, i guess i'll just replace them with stockers.
anyway, i guess i'm just upset, as i was really looking forward to putting the new rims/tires on.
edit:
what about these two? this isn't a full race car, but a weekend warrior. comfort isn't really an issue, but i like speed, handling, and precise steering. i figure while i'm under there messing with everything, why not do it all?
