yet another update, for anyone who happens to have this problem and needs to search for it.
my last update i said i had one side nearly done. well, i've got the old bushings out and the new ones pressed in. i'm still waiting for my cousin to weld those tabs for me.
on the passenger side i took a different approach. i doused the frame in water every 10-20 seconds, and used an oxygen and acetylene torch to cut out the seized bolts. i had it done in 15 minutes. the frame wasn't very hot when i got done, so i'm not concerned about it's strength. i could still touch it when the cutting was all done.
the new bushings are pressed in the passenger side now, too. as soon as those tabs get welded, it all goes back together, i get an alignment on the front (rear is done), and slap on the new rims and tires.

(mkiv TT rims with falken azenis rt615's. 275/40 rear, 255/40 front)
just waiting on my cousin. (my mig bit the dust.
