You're alignment tech will love you! Don't forget to straighten all of the eccentric stops while you have it apart. You can use a vise grips and or hammer and for the perfect job, if you have a welder, a nice bead of weld behind each one for added support.

bluepearl: that's on my list of things too do, as well. all of them are slightly bent outward. i was going to borrow my cousin's mig and run a bead behind them all. (doing the rears too, because one side is bent out enough that the alignment tech couldn't get it to match the other side. one is 3/4* out, and the other is 1/2* out.)

yet another update, for anyone who happens to have this problem and needs to search for it.

my last update i said i had one side nearly done. well, i've got the old bushings out and the new ones pressed in. i'm still waiting for my cousin to weld those tabs for me.

on the passenger side i took a different approach. i doused the frame in water every 10-20 seconds, and used an oxygen and acetylene torch to cut out the seized bolts. i had it done in 15 minutes. the frame wasn't very hot when i got done, so i'm not concerned about it's strength. i could still touch it when the cutting was all done.

the new bushings are pressed in the passenger side now, too. as soon as those tabs get welded, it all goes back together, i get an alignment on the front (rear is done), and slap on the new rims and tires. :) (mkiv TT rims with falken azenis rt615's. 275/40 rear, 255/40 front)

just waiting on my cousin. (my mig bit the dust. :()

heh, you're a lucky man, nick! mine were a PITA! infact, it's probably the most annoying job i've done to the car since i've owned it. i'd have rather had to pull the motor again!

God I feel so fortunate. Tearing my car down to a bare shell, I broke ONE bolt. The one that holds the muffler hanger to the body...
All my camber bolts are good. Any takers? lol
