1jz valve covers on a 7m?

how much modification/welding would you need to put 1jz vlave covers on a 7m?

really dislike the 7m ones since im going ffim and is300 cop so they just have lopes fro nothing.lol

or if any other valve covers would fir or be better.

1jz and 2jz use 8 bolts to hold down each cover as the 7M uses only 6 each cover. Just get the Non turbo 7M covers

Only if you want it to look really ugly when the bondo cracks, which it will.

Might have better luck with fibreglass, but really hard to make it look good.

Best bet would be if you know someone who can weld aluminium.

well for some someone who cares about the look of theyre engine, its just not as simple of sucking it up. although theres nothing i can really do. if i had the money to buy the arz i, i might aswell save it up for a jz.

Thats how its gonna be at meets if you did this. And 700 wont get you far in a jz swap.

7M and 1JZ valve covers use the same gaskets, so they are the same shape. You would need to weld tabs onto the 7M head since the valve covers will warp if you weld them. Weld tabs onto the head and drill/tap them so you have somewhere to bolt the covers. I'd suggest highly modifying the plastic cover though so nobody mistakes you for a 1JZ.
