Ken,
We did want to let you know that out of all the Supra single piece shafts we have sold. We have never had a situation like yours. We do not sell 10% as many Supra shafts as we do Nissan 240SX and 300Zx shafts but it is still between 100-150 that we have sold. This includes aluminum shafts...
It's not that we don't make one, it's that we have never had a request for one. Obviously, yours is not an 86-88 auto. Can you tell us what model trans you have? And possibly take a length measurement? If you are willing to do these things we can send you a sheet showing how to measure and offer...
Would you mind if we quote you on the website? We would consider your statement and that of gaboonviper85 to be just the sort of thing we are looking for.
Thanks, David
Sorry it has taken us so long to reply. We have gotten so little response from the different forums we are on (i.e. nissan, mustang and supra) that we will gladly take any video you can provide, youtube links would be great. Other than that, do you mind if we quote:
"I've been rocking a...
We are looking for customer vehicle videos and testimonials!!
If you have a Shaftmasters driveshaft and have some good video out there on the web we would like to know. You Tube links will be great. We are currently redesigning our web site and are planning on having a few videos on it...
To all forum members who are interested in a single piece Steel driveshaft:
Due to popular demand we have decided to start making Steel single piece Supra MKIII shafts
Pricing is as follows:
Driveshaft is $325
UPS Ground to anywhere in the continental U.S. is a flat rate of $10
I will...
I would like to clarify what I said. When I referred to the driveshaft being designed to be the fuse I was talking about the OEM shaft. The car companies design their shafts to be able to handle at best 15% more hp and torque than what the vehicle it is being used in puts out from the factory.
We have plenty of driveshafts on cars that drag race with big slicks. The driveshaft is designed to be the fuse of the drivetrain. If it doesn't break first something else will instead if there is enough of a shock load to the drivetrain! My guess as far as the example given here is that if this...
We have not been on the forum for a while for several reasons. There seems to be several concerns members have about single piece aluminum driveshafts. These concerns seem to be leading members to "shy" away from aluminum driveshafts. We would however like to inform members of the following...
We have two front shafts here. One is for a R-154 trans. and the other is for a A-340 Trans. The R-154 front shaft is 1 7/8 of an inch longer than the A-340 front shaft. The rear shafts measure the same lengths. We don't have a front shaft out of a Supra with a W-58 trans.
Check out our thread in the Misc Vendor section. We have an aluminum rear section of a 2 piece shaft for sale for $175. We also have a 2 piece assembly with new OEM Front Ujoint and New OEM Center Bearing, it also has a retubed rear section for $350.
Jay,
Yes we received it and it was quick too. Thank you and we credited your account for the core deposit. I also was wondering if IJ had to look up those figures or if he knew them of the top of his head. Maybe someday my wife and I will make it to Australia, once we get rich off of all the...
Glad to be aboard. The rules didn't turn out to be too bad once we started having fun messing around with IJ. We took it as a challenge! Now hopefully we will sell a few shafts before the bulb burns out and we can't see to make the shafts!
Robert
