Removing multiplex from 7MGTE for less than $200

JZ waste fire coils aren't an upgrade but common for people to replace aging 7M coils with and assume it was an upgrade.

Old Supra thread about bilstein shocks and sleeves and custom springs

The top / upper mounts are going to be the key. What did you do to fit the shocks to them? Is the body side the same?

Old Supra thread about bilstein shocks and sleeves and custom springs

Reviving this thread because I'm thinking about replacing my suspension again while the car is down getting the turbo rebuilt. Has anyone made any progress towards improving shock travel using other upper mounts / pillow balls or has Bilstein shortened the shocks at all?

7m billet 6265 qsv e85 aem at the dyno this thursday.

Sounds like a tuning problem. Batch fire would technically have slightly less time to inject fuel per engine cycle (two revolutions) as there would be less fuel spraying while the injector is closing and opening, time for the solenoid field to build (deadtime), etc. So to get the maximum amount...

Old Supra thread about bilstein shocks and sleeves and custom springs

Are the Cusco or Tein upper mounts shallower than stock? It's been so long since I've seen a set I don't remember. This could allow more travel if the shock shaft sits higher.

Old Supra thread about bilstein shocks and sleeves and custom springs

I'm looking for info on this as well. The parts list is pretty easy to come up with. It's all in the thread on Supraforums just swap the Bilstein part numbers for mk3 units. The concern I have is that many have complained the front Bilstein (and probably all OE replacement) shocks are too long...

Went from 660cc to 1000cc injectors (AEM V1)

John Reed is one of the best so you're in good hands if you can get his time. If not let me know I will try to help you out.

No Cruise Control after AEM install?

They are indeed correct, the cruise does not rely on the factory ECU to function (I have multiple cars running aftermarket ECU's and cruise works fine). My 92 however cruise does not work, now I need to go check my 92T wiring diagram as I thought it used both clutch switches.

Did you bypass the clutch neutral start switch by chance?

Ya think? And this is why I don't frequent SM that much. :biglaugh:

Went from 660cc to 1000cc injectors (AEM V1)

Manny, you'll need to run the "change injector" function when you right click on the fuel map. You'll also need to change the injector battery offset using the values provided with your new injectors or run the injector wizard if yours are listed. If the turbo is new, you'll also need to tweak...

Going back to factory cat-back... How much power should I expect to lose?

There is an HKS Super Drager muffler in the for sale section, granted you won't have the extra resonators but it's a good start to a quiet system.

Keep in mind a twin scroll .84 is likely going to be equiv to a .68 single scroll. If you are dead set on a spool valve I'd get a larger housing.

    OHIO thread

The reason I don't hang out on SM much is all of the misinformation. Check out the most recent weight loss and 7M build threads. According to the weight loss thread, R154's magically die at 500hp/tq. According to the 7M build thread all sorts of parts are needed for 500hp. Both are BS, and I...

    OHIO thread

I've made north of 700whp on a 7M with a 6765 CEA .81 single scroll. I'm currently running the same with a 1.0 twin scroll and see smoother power and spoolup (hint the divider takes up room, it's closer to .81 actual volume). If I were to change again I'd go with the xx66, probably a 6766, and...

    3P's TCCS Disassembly/Analysis

I honestly wouldn't bother making a custom ignitor if you're not also adding sequential control. The stock ignitor can drive the 7m coils and often the is300 coils just fine. Are you programming dwell control in to the CPLD? It wouldn't be hard to eliminate wasted spark if you tap in to the G1...
