    As IJ said, all that (really) is doing is putting a larger valve head for the air to get around. If you're not at least unshrouding the valves and doing a valve job, then you're doing nothing more than hanging a few more grams off your valve stem.

    Why do you think methanol injection will yield more power per PSI of boost? The oversimplified version is - it's not going to change much at all. Knock threshold may change thus allowing for more boost, but that's a different matter entirely.

    243 is just as damaging as you think it is. :) I always try and get the guys I help with their cars at the drag strip to pull power out in 4th gear since it's just killing the engine. At the mile...you use 5th...and all of it. I believe that pass was 94-9600rpm in 5th.
