the main thing I want to figure out is if I can mix match a 89+ ecu coolant sensor with an 87 style harness. they have different connectors and I understand i sound stupid right now but can a different connector be spliced in to fit the sensor and work? I have the connector from a junk...

yeah mines acting the same way. I found out it was the tps. was going to post that but you got it! I never heard of the 86.5 tps being different from the 87. but I could be wrong. 89+ are different I know Cuz I've been there.

so buy a throttle body? and would I have to get another linkage bracket?
